My Requirements

We are looking for a part time nanny for our 8 and 4 year olds for Tuesdays and Fridays, all day 9-5 or 10-5, some flexibility with hours. We also ideally need Monday afternoons and occasional weekend afternoons, but presume that would be a second person.

We home educate, but we aren’t looking for a tutor, just someone who is enthusiastic, curious, willing to answer questions honestly and also to admit when they don't know the answers!

We are looking for someone who is caring, compassionate, patient and empathetic. We try to parent respectfully and as consensually as possible; we generally agree with Gentle Parenting or Attachment Parenting approaches and do not use time-outs, reward charts etc. so hopefully you have experience of this way of doing things.

You also need to have lots of energy as they love running around outside, and playing games in the garden.

Our 8 year old is currently really interested in butterflies & birds, logic puzzles, maths/numbers and football. Our 4 year old loves imaginary play with her soft toys and dolls and acting out stories from books/tv.

We need someone who is capable of looking after two children by themselves, but also comfortable with their parents being at home (Dad works from home and I have a chronic health condition which means I need a bit of rest in the day time as well as needing time for chores, admin etc. plus some one on one time with my eldest)
