Our 2 year old daughter first joined Amanda's group when I was heavily pregnant with our second child. Knowing that we would catch the bus to her place, Amanda would regularly pick our daughter up from our house and drop her home to us if the children had a day out planned.
She was also great at managing our daughter's allergies (milk, eggs and peanuts) and ensuring that she didn't have an allergic reaction whilst in her care. We had previously had issues with this when we sent our daughter to larger childcare centers and it was nice knowing that we didn't have to worry about that with Amanda.
I also loved seeing the photos that Amanda would message us of all the fun the children got up to that day.
You know when you meet someone and straight away you can tell they have a warm, welcoming and happy vibe... That's Amanda. She is fantastic and has a great little set up.
After needing some emergency childcare recently Amanda got in touch and after meeting and getting a contract, my little boy (15m) started the next day. He absolutely loved it and settled immediately. He especially enjoyed playing with the toys and car in the garden.
Amanda would provide regular updates and pictures, as she would often be out and about with the children. This was either to playgroups, the park, the beach or even a walk. My little boy was always smiling in all the pictures I received ☺️
Like I say, she's fantastic and if anyone is lucky enough to get a space with her then you've hit gold.
My little boy, Matthew, sadly leaves Amanda's care this September as he starts Nursery. Matthew has built such a strong bond with Amanda. Finding a good childminder to look after someone so precious to you is difficult but I found a wonderful one in Amanda. Matthew has experienced so much more being with Amanda in my view rather than in a nursery environment, through visits to museums, exhibitions, children's events, parks, beaches, the list is endless and I never tire of hearing about his day. Being with a smaller number of children has given Matthew the attention and care I wished for. Matthew has developed strong social skills being with older and younger children and as a result an independent and caring child who makes friends easily.
Amanda has worked with Matthew to develop reading, writing and counting skills through play which started with simple making marks and messy play to counting and recognising letters, ready for nursery. This has been charted and documented in a learning journal. Amanda has always sent me photographs of Matthew from the very first day to the very last to show what he's been up to, always with a big smile.
Amanda is a very creative person, and Matthew has made numerous paintings, handprint pictures and plates, pirate hats, cakes and biscuits. Amanda's singing and dancing activities really engage Matthew.
Matthew has always enjoyed going to Amanda's house each morning and never fretted when away from me. He has always been happy and contented at Amanda's home.
Matthew has enjoyed his time so much with Amanda and we are all sad to be leaving but Amanda has developed and prepared Matthew for his next steps at Nursery. I would thoroughly recommend Amanda as a Childminder.

We have been sending my son to Amanda for a year now since my wife went back to work and I can not praise her enough.
Its fantastic to watch him run down the path and bang on the door to get in. he is so settled with Amanda who is always full of energy and smiles.
Amanda is very flexible which is great due to my irregular work hours and nothing is a problem. she works with us to help his development.
He is always off doing things and brings home things he has made. she also lets us have copies of photos from his adventures which means we can share in his fun times.
his childcare was split between Amanda and Nursery (due to her availability) and we have now just arranged to pull him from nursery now Amanda has availability.
We knew from the first moment we met Amanda that she would be the perfect person to entrust our sons childcare to and she has not let us down.
The biggest praise I can give Amanda is that my son loves to go their and always comes home full of smiles.
My son has been with Amanda for years now and I wouldn't send him anywhere else. He loves coming to her and seeing all the little friends he's made here, and I can rest assured he's being well cared for in a safe, happy environment. They go on many outings including playgroup and I always look forward to the lovely things my son brings home which he's made during the day, Amanda is always accommodating and was a huge help when I had my operation last year as I was unable to drive, she always greets the children with warmth and a huge smile and makes them feel very welcome, I can honestly say it's like having an extended family and I can't recommend her enough.
