We live in Willesden Green, 2 min away from the tube station. I am a doctor and my husband work for a bank. We have one daughter who is 9 yo. Our nanny who has been with us for many many years will go on maternity leave in sept.
My Requirements
From mid -September 2024 , we are looking for an after school nanny to take care of our daughter who is 9yo.
Working Time: 3- 7pm , 5 days a week (20h a week) - Pick up are usually between 4 pm and 4.45 pm depending on the day and after school activities. So some travel time to pick up our daughter is included in your hours. Our daughter’s school is 25 min away from our home. Driving is not required as we take the tube to do the school journeys.
More hours can be offered (30-32 h/week paid ) if you are willing to do:
- 2.5 h of evening baby sitting /week (not on Friday )
- work full time (8.00- 6.30) during part of the summer holidays and some school holidays (for a total of maximum 12 weeks /year).
We usually go away 3-4 times / year for a total of 5-7 weeks per year.
Alternatively, if you are looking for regular 2-3 days of work /week , we would be open to discuss if that would fulfil also the need of our family.
Duties:
- School pickups (+/- drop offs)
-Liaising with parents regarding details of our child’s care
- Help/support with homework and music practice
- To provide appropriate fun activities for our daughter and organise play dates with her friends.
-respecting the rules set for our daughter regarding minimum use of tablets/ no video games / no social media etc.
- Preparation of healthy snack and diner (nut free)
- Help with bath time.
- Keeping our daughter’s space clean and tidy.
- All other household duties are taken care of by our Cleaner.
Requirement
-Assured UK right of residency, passport/ID to be checked
- Checkable References for the last 2 years both in writing and via direct conversation with previous employer.
- enhanced DBS check.
- Paediatric first aid certificate-desirable ( our daughter is allergic to nuts, therefore we need our nanny to be familiar with what to do in the event of an allergic reaction and to understand that she cannot be exposed to nuts).
- Good" English “ is essential
- Reliability and flexibility.
- French speaking is a added bonus.
Salary:
- Depending on experience, but competitive for the right candidate
- Payslips managed by our accountant.
- Pension & tax paid by employer.
First interview via video call and then face to face interview if both parties agree.
All documents ( DBS, passport, references etc.) to be available for the interview.
Position for 6 months to a year.
