My Summary

My Experience

Over 20 years experience with various families of all ages.

I have lived in Italy as an au pair, relocated to South Wales to work on a country estate, and worked for wonderful families closer to home.

My most recent position has been with a lovely family in Devon. They have a little girl who is 2 years old and a little boy who is 5 years old. I worked 18 hours over two days at their home, looking after their 2 year old mostly, and their 5 year old in the school holidays. I brought my little girl with me and they got along so amazingly. She is still asking about her now, and when we might see her again.
We all played games, sang songs and danced. We did colouring, played hide and seek, and played in the garden. We also went to a lovely local play group and to the park.
I cooked and performed light cleaning tasks for them whilst both girls had a nap. This was a lovely position, and I do miss it. I'm ready to meet and help a new family now.

Prior to my most recent position and our relocation last year, I had been working as a teaching assistant in Key stage 1 classrooms. I do love this job, and it has given me an extensive amount of knowledge and experience relating to primary aged children and their education.
I feel this has given me another string to my bow in regard to nannying and looking after young children.

I have also worked with a lovely family who have two girls, one aged 18 months when I started, and one aged 8 years.
I looked after the younger child 30 hours/week, and saw the older daughter some days after school but mostly during the holidays.
I very much enjoyed this job, but after 7 months, a change in circumstances meant the position ended.

My position prior to this was for a lovely family of 5. They have 2 girls aged 8 and 9, and a little boy aged 2. I was with them for 15 lovely months, and still miss them. Their family circumstances have changed and they no longer need a nanny.

This career means very much to me, I don't consider it to be a job, it is part of my life to nurture children and help parents.

My Qualifications

I have a BA (Hons) degree in Education from the University of Chester. This means I have all of the pedagogical knowledge of a primary school teacher, and I have another year of study before I am a qualified teacher. I am putting this off for a few years, as I feel my current interests are in childcare as you can see from my experience.
I am looking to update my paediatric first aid certificate, and I need a new DBS.

My Availability

I can start immediately, full or part time, and I'm very flexible. A nanny share is also a possibility.

I am ideally looking for a minimum of 10 hours/week in a long term position. Or as and when in a temporary position.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

I charge £15/hour net, but I feel this can only be properly discussed in relation to your expectations and the job role.
