My Summary
About Me
Hi!
My name is Eva Sominka. I'm married with two daughters- Maya, 11 and Lilly, 10. We moved to Kempston Rural area of Wood End in September 2016 and I am very excited to live in a such a lovely area. We have 2 pets- a small dog and a hamster. Our dog is extremely placid and used to being handled by very young children- which always happens under my supervision. I occasionally get the hamster out of the cage and the children are allowed to give him a treat. Our home is a 4-bedroom end of terrace which has been extended and offers a vast space for children to play and explore. I have a dedicated playroom downstairs with a variety of toys and resources that are rotated regularly. The playroom has a home corner, reading corner, dressing up area, mark-making area and lots more and I have a number of messy play activities too. The large living room is used for dancing and other more physical activities. There is a downstairs toilet easily accessible to the children. I cook all meals and prepare snacks at home and ensure these are balanced and nutritious. Children also get involved in preparing their own snacks and we do baking too! I have a spare bedroom upstairs that is used for babies and children who nap, the room has a baby monitor that is on at all times. I have a large garden that leads via back gate to adjacent play park that is only used by ourselves and few neighbours. This is a fantastic additional outdoor space with climbing frame, swings and slide and various balancing apparatus. From the play park children can see horses and chickens which adds to their experience. I take children to various playgroups, parks, shops and to the woods to extend their learning and understanding of the world. I strive to offer the children in my care a variety of experiences as I believe they are invaluable to their learning and development. I provide daily books for each child so parents can see what their child has been up to in terms of snacks/meals, nappies, sleep and activities. I also have a development folder for each child under the age of 5 where I record all observations, next steps and planning as well as trips and wow moments to ensure all areas of development are covered and also that your child's personal interests and likes are taken into account. I believe every child is unique and I am able to adapt and adjust my approach and my care to suit your child's individual needs.
My Experience
I first became a childminding assistant in December 2013. I very quickly realised that I'm absolutely loving my job and so I went on to register as a childminder myself. I worked as a co-childminder up until August 2016 and when we moved home I began working by myself. I had my Ofsted inspection in November 2015 and I am proud to say I achieved an Outstanding grade. Between December 2013 and now I attended a number of additional training courses related to childminding and these are listed below. I believe in continuously developing myself and improving the service I provide. I also completed a Level 3 National Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce. My experience includes working with children of different ages- from a few weeks old to 11 years old. I cared for several children with additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, language and speech delay and behavioural problems. I also looked after bilingual children.

Our son Yannis has been going to Eva in the last 2 month and he is unbelievable happy. The house is clean big and a lot facilities for kids. Eva is such a wonderful person always smiling and happy , gives you a good vibe. They have a lot of activities , going out everyday somewhere new , taking them to musical, outdoor play, in the forest , everywhere , Yannis has improved a lot his conversational level and he always waits to go to Eva. She even has equipment ( clothing) for outside. Meals included. What can I say , you would be lucky if you get a place for your little one in her diary. We thinking about to let him to Eva until he starts reception. She is a great person which loves kids and as soon as you see her you will say .. she is the one that needs to look after my child.
I met Eva early 2015 whilst she was working with Kerreyanne Dicker ( Outstanding Ofsted registered childminder) Eva was always bubbly and kind to us as parents and to our child and had a genuine positive outlook on life.
Eva, was great at completing our son's daily activity book and providing us with updates on our son's progress whilst he was in her care.
Very loving and kind towards all children In Kerreyanne's setting and we wish Eva well with her childcare business.

Eva looked after my son alongside Kerreyanne. My son built a bond with her and her daughters and felt part of the family amongst the other children at the setting. She is a kind and caring childminder who is never short of a cuddle for the children. She has contributed to the development of my son over the 12 months during his time at the setting. He thrived in this setting and always had fun.
A massive thank you for all that you have done with my little man :)
My son was looked after by Eva (and Kerreyanne) for just over a year. He absolutely loved Eva and both her daughters.Eva is very patient kind and caring. I always felt very comfortable asking for advice and most importantly he always had so much fun in her care.
Eva (and kerreyanne) cared for my son tyler for 2 years, she always provided a lovley enviroment for tyler and has a great ability to make him feel at ease, whilst providing a great learning experience.
Anyone who has eva as a childminder are extremley lucky.
