Hi, my name is Rebecca. I am a bubbly, fun loving, Ofsted Registered Childminder living on Finsbury Park, Farnworth (off Lunts Heath Road) with my husband Mark and our two daughters – aged 17 and 14.
As all children are special and unique, I offer a childminding service tailored to meet the needs and wishes of each individual child and that of their parents. I am loving, caring, kind and fair and endeavour at all times to help each child to feel safe, secure and loved. I believe all children need strong attachment figures in the absence of their parents / carers and therefore I nurture a strong bond between myself and each child and also help each child to build strong friendships with other children in my care and also in the care of other childminders with whom we spend time.
I work in partnership with all parents / carers to promote their child’s learning and development, helping them to the best of their capabilities to be ready for school and to successfully complete the Early Years Foundation Stage.
All children in my care enjoy well-planned, stimulating and enjoyable activities that enable them to explore, use their imagination and develop their physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills.

Our home – a comfortable and secure environment where all children are encouraged to feel at home (home from home) to relax and play and enjoy many age appropriate activities and resources.
Our garden, local parks, National Trust sites, farms, zoos and various beaches and seaside resorts - offering the children first hand contact with weather, seasons and the natural world.
Libraries, museums and art galleries - offering all children an opportunity to learn in a concentrated physical environment.
Soft play areas and sporting facilities. - offering children an opportunity to learn and practice many physical skills.
Local toddler groups – providing children with an opportunity to mix with other children on a larger scale than in our home
Various forms of transport (bus, train, car, boat) – offering children an opportunity to explore further afield than our local community
Emergency services (fire station, police station, hospital) and elderly care homes – offering each child a great opportunity to find out about their local community.
I always welcome feedback from parents on the care and education I provide for their children – please feel free to chat with me at anytime.
My Experience
For many years I enjoyed a successful career in business (I set up, ran and subsequently sold a successful international marketing agency). I mention this as I hope it will reassure you that I truly understand the pressures that working mums and dads face. Whilst my eldest daughter was young she benefited tremendously from first class childcare. It was this excellent experience that encouraged me to change my working direction – I valued the input my daughter had enjoyed in childcare and decided I too would like to have such a positive impact on the lives of children. After my second daughter was born back in 2009, I began my new journey and since then I have gained a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Learning, Development and Support, worked both employed and voluntary in various schools (mainstream and special needs) and thoroughly enjoyed caring for and nurturing seventeen children as a childminder.
My Qualifications
I have a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Learning, Development and Support.
I have completed a Level 3 Award in preparing to work in home-based childcare.
I have a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
I have undertaken EYFS Learning and Development training with Halton Borough Council and also successfully completed their safeguarding training.
I have an Advanced Certificate in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and a B-TEC National Certificate in Business and Finance
I also gained (many moons ago!) GCE's and GCSE's in: Mathematics, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Sociology and Religious Education
My Availability
I currently have availability on: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
I have availability for babies to school aged children during the day and also availability for drop offs and pick ups to and from Lunts Heath Primary School.

My son has been with Rebecca for a few years now and he loves it. It’s always scary leaving your kids with someone new but since the first day I met her I knew she was perfect for me and my son. She is very bubbly and always has a smile on her face, the kids always look happy and content.
She does lots of activities with the children and it’s always lovely when she shares photos with the parents.
She’s an amazing childminder and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a friendly and welcoming environment for their children. Thank you Rebecca x

The pleasure is all mine in caring for your lovely son. It’s a privilege watching your boy mature into the lovely young man he is.
He doesn’t half tell some funny stories … I love it when he’s telling one of his tales and he gets all excited, laughing and animated as he’s talking. It gets to the point that I have no clue what he’s actually saying as he’s giggling, waving his hands around and talking ten to the dozen! I confess, I pretend that I’m following his story … I don’t think he’s found me out yet 😂

We have been using Rebecca for wrap around childcare for over two years and our son has enjoyed every single visit. Her warmth and care doesn’t just stop with the child, we have always found Rebecca to be extremely helpful where we have needed extra sessions and our son feels safe and secure when he is with Rebecca. The setting has oodles of fun things for the children to do and the breadth of age ranges are well catered for. I would throughly recommend Rebecca’s services to anyone looking for a child care provider.

I think you already know, but just in case you have forgotten, I think the world of your son. His sunny, mischievous personality and his hilarious humour, keep me and all the other children entertained … always! I definitely think you’ve got a stand up comedian on your hands!
I feel honoured to be able to spend my time with him … please tell him to never grow up! 😊
Our son has been with Rebecca before and after school since he was in Year 1 and he is now in Year 6! We have never been anything less than delighted with the care she has provided and have always felt completely reassured that our son is safe, happy and nurtured.
From the outset we were impressed by the extremely caring and homely environment created by Rebecca. Our son is provided with healthy breakfasts and snacks and we love the fact that the children eat together at the family dining table. Rebecca has a fantastic range of activities, toys and games (both indoor and outdoor) and actively encourages positive relationships between the children in her care. She is wonderful and takes them on visits to local parks and play areas.
Rebecca really knows our son and understands his personality perfectly. We know that he starts and ends each school day in a warm and friendly environment and he always looks forward to going to her house.
Rebecca is considerate, reliable and professional and we would not hesitate to recommend her services to other parents.

Where have the years gone to?!
I love your son coming here and am dreading next Summer when he’ll be off to high school - I’ll really miss him. Having said that, he’s more than ready and will love it.
Your son is fantastic company before and after school. The rest of the children love playing with him and I know he’ll leave a little Noah shaped hole in our house (metaphorically speaking!). He has such a good imagination and I love listening to his stories - he’s such good company.
You’ve raised a wonderful, polite, humorous child.
I’d better cherish the next few months!
We have been using Rebecca for a few years now and both my children really enjoy their time here. The kids enjoy a range of after school activities which keeps them occupied and stimulated. Rebecca is friendly and welcoming and my children are happy in her setting. We are very grateful for the service Rebecca provides.

Steph, I love looking after both of your children - two wonderful little characters with infectious personalities . They are both full of fun and have me smiling and laughing from the time I pick them up from school to the time you collect them. Tell them to never change! 🥰
My daughter joined Rebecca in September when starting reception and she has absolutely loved it. I think she's disappointed when it's not Rebecca picking her up from school 🤣.
Rebecca is friendly, welcoming and completely put me at ease. I know my daughter is happy and thriving in Rebecca's care.

Rebecca from my initial enquiry straight through to getting an agreement in place was helpful, friendly & professional. My son loves his setting, always a wide variety of activities to choose from after school which are all enjoyable. The kids in Rebecca’s care are happy & content.

Kerry, your son is a pleasure to care for. He has dived head first into life in our house. A fantastic, fun loving child - everyone loves being around him 🥰
Rebecca has been looking after our daughter after school for a couple of years. The care is brilliant. Snack time strikes a perfect balance between healthy snacks and treats and once snack is over the children have so many activities to choose from depending upon what they want to do. She has never been bored whilst at Rebecca’s. Rebecca is always happy, yet calm and never stressed with the children (I’m not sure how she does it!). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rebecca to any parents who are looking for top quality care for their children.

Rebecca has looked after my premature son for over 12 months now . She has a kind loving and caring nature and always makes me and James welcome as do her family . He loves to be with Rebecca and is always happy there and cry’s when he comes home he can’t wait to go back the next day to see her and his little friends .
He loves to be out and about and does lots of enriching activities which really helps his development .

Isabelle was going through a particularly clingy phase (aged 9 months) before I returned to work and the thought of leaving her was difficult for the whole family.
Rebecca’s personality, her understanding of child development and her ability to build relationships helped Isabelle to settle in quicker than we ever thought possible. With Rebecca’s help, she has grown in confidence and loves spending time with her new friends.
Isabelle is always excited to go to Rebecca’s and is met at the door each morning with such a warm welcome.
The variety of activities that Rebecca plans for the children is fantastic and this has undoubtedly helped further Isabelle’s development.
As parents we are confident in the knowledge that Isabelle is safe, happy and nurtured in Rebecca’s care.

Rebecca and her family provide a true home from home experience. Rebecca is kind and nurturing and welcomes not only the child but your whole family into hers. Her home setting is brilliant and perfect for all ages. She encourages and supports all key development skills in a natural and supporting manner and readily discusses and reviews any areas of focus that you highlight to her. More so she reassures and keeps you updated at every step. My son loves attending this setting and his brother can’t wait to join him in September. A brilliant and lovely lady with a heart and home from home for your child to match! Thank you Rebecca for all you do, would be lost without you!
