About Me
Hi im vicky, Im NNEB qualified, I hold a current paediatric first aid level 3 and have over 27years experience as a registered childminder.
I live in the Pye nest area with my husband nick, our two children aged 14 & 15, 2 rabbits, teddy the hamster, our dog Molly who is 10.
And our new addition as of oct ‘22, willow the Ragdoll.
We use the whole house for childminding really but the most used spaces are a dining room with a large table for getting messy at and a resources cupboard which the children can choose freely the crafts, glue, paints, paper & crayons/pens ect to help our creativity and imagination! We get creative and celebrate many festivals/birthday and other special occasions.
We have a large kitchen where we bake, dance and get ready for outings, this is where we keep our coats, hats, gloves and shoes for easy access when getting ready for outings and school runs. We generally walk to our local activities but I do hold a full driving licence for trips further away.
We also have a living room where we can relax and have a rest when needed, in there we have various other books, toys and games, we don't often watch television but there is one of those too! This room is a great den building space too!
Outside we have an enclosed garden and drive making a great safe environment to explore, play freely and learn. We have various activities in our outside space like sand and water pits, a slate chalking board, a painting wall and various ride on toys, skipping ropes, balls and other garden games.
Our local park is only a few minutes walk away, we walk to the local school if any pick up are needed and we are also in walking distance of the the local libraries and the canal where there are lots of ducks, geese, barges and boats! Safety is a top priority for us too so we use safety reigns/back packs and a double buggy/single buggy when needed.

My Experience
Over 27 years...birth to 15 years. I did my initial NNEB ( nursery nurse) at calderdale college and did various different placements in nurseries, schools and family placements.
I was a nanny in the holidays while I did my training for two families.
I started childminding shortly after my training, it's been ongoing ever since :-)
