My Summary

My Experience

I have experience with children of all ages but especially with under 7s. Since December 2022 I have been working at a nursery with children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years. Before that, I was working as a Pupil Support Assistant at primary schools in Edinburgh from January 2021 until December 2022, mainly in P1 and P2 classes. I worked at a special school summer hub during summer 2021 and 2022. I am experienced with children with additional support needs. I am also trained in gastronomy tube feeding and medication.

Over the last decade I have gained a wealth of professional childcare experience on top of looking after my nephew and younger cousins. I have three different au pair experiences. The first two were for a few weeks during university Easter holidays, the first in Spain with a family with two girls aged 4 and 6 and the second was in Corsica with two boys aged three months and three years. My most recent au pair experience was in July 2015 in Madrid when the two girls were aged 10 and 12. I have kept in touch with the family ever since and actually just visited them over the jubilee weekend. Additionally, during my university studies I was a babysitter for a local family, from when the child was aged 2-5.

My Qualifications

MA (Hons) in Applied Languages (French and Spanish) and Translation from Heriot-Watt University
HNC Childhood Practice at Fife College
I am first aid trained and hold a PVG.
