We are a well established team of Liz and Richard working together since 2003. We have a lovely home from home setting where your children learn through play.
We have 4 adult sons and 1 granddaughter. All 4 boys have DBS checks and are registered assistants, meaning they can work with us if needed in an emergency. We offer a caring, loving home from home environment where you and your children are treated as part of our family. We firmly believe that children learn through play and offer a comfortable lounge to relax in, a well resourced playroom and a secure outdoor area. We have a number of family pets which we encourage the children to enjoy and learn to care for, they also have their own area separate from the children when playing outside. We provide home cooked meals every night and have a 5 weekly menu, which the children helped choose.
We do lots of different activities with the children including arts and crafts, messy play, baking, gardening and local outings. In the outdoor area we grow fruit and veg with the children, which they are encouraged to care for, pick and taste. Your involvement in your child's learning is extremely important to us and we aim to communicate with you in a variety of ways.
We understand how difficult it is to choose the correct childcare to suit yours and your child's needs and we are happy to talk over any queries you may have.

My Experience
We have cared for a number of children over the years, some coming to us when babies and staying with us into senior school, we have also cared for the children of children we have previously cared for. We have cared for children with a variety of specific needs, including Autism, ADHD and Speech and Language delays.
My Qualifications
Liz gained her BSc Degree from the Open University in 2010.
Richard gained his Level 4 in Early Years Practice in 2005.
We both have current Qualifications in :-
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguading Children (Lead Practitioner)
Food Safety in Catering (level 2)
Cyber training (West Yorkshire Police)
and many more.
We also take part in as much training either on courses or through webinars as we can.
My Availability
We are open for business from 7.30am until 5:30pm Monday-Friday, (exceptions outside these hours may be catered for ).
We provide full and part time flexible day care for pre-school children and wrap around care, including drop off and collection from Thornton Primary School.
WE ARE REGISTERED TO PROVIDE FREE CHILDCARE AND EDUCATION FOR QUALIFYING CHILDREN OVER 9 MONTHS AND ALSO THE 30 HOURS EXTENDED FUNDING FOR CHILDREN OVER 3.
We have limited places available for both pre-school children and before/after school children, with more becoming available from September.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
The fees we charge are worked out in 15 minute increments, not by the whole hour. (for more information on fees please ask.) the fees you pay include any meals,snacks and outings.

A fantastic childminder. After weeks of looking we found the perfect place for our little girl. The facilities are exemplary and the children are the focus of everything. There is a wide variety of toys and activities the children take part in encourage learn through play. The children have Wonderful areas to play and learn, both inside and out. All of our daughters needs are met beyond expectation. She progress each day learning new things and words. Both Liz and Richard support and encourage development and invest in each child. The meals that my daughter receives are both healthy and nutritious. Each morning my 15 month old gets her bag ready to set off and waves goodbye. She gets excited when she knows she's going to play. Liz and Richard are fantastic and I would personally recommend to anyone.

We have been sending our son to Liz & Richard for 5 months now, having not left my son before I was super nervous but he absolutely loves going and they're fab with him. Superb home from home environment too!
