About Me
My setting is a home from home environment, where children are encouraged to have fun and use their imagination. I offer a wide range of activities from arts and crafts to learning phonics. I follow the eyfs and each early years child will have their own learning journal and daily diary.
We attend many clubs, playgroups, farms, country parks (we love muddy puddles) and play centres and spend a lot of time with other childminders where the children form lovely friendships and develop good social skills.
I have a large garden for the children to run around in and we also grow our own fruit and veg which the children grow from seed.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 12 years. I take regular training courses and I'm up to date on first aid and all areas of safeguarding.

My Availability
My hours are Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and Fridays 9-3. I'm open 47 weeks a year.
I have full and part time places for ages 6 months to 4 years. Please contact me for current availability.

As someone who suffers with anxiety, looking for childcare for my 6 month old baby when I was offered a new job filled me with dread. When I went to meet Kelly, my head was ready to pick out every fault and reason why it wouldn't work for my daughter - as soon as I walked through the door, all of these thoughts disappeared. From the second I sat down, seeing Kelly interact with the children in her warm and welcoming home, I knew this was the ONLY place I would be willing to leave my baby.
Kelly is nurturing, insightful and you can tell she cares about every single child she looks after. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since she started with Kelly. She is so happy & sociable and I regularly have people approach me to comment on what a smiley happy little girl I have. I put a lot of this down to the activities Kelly does with her and also mixing with the other children Kelly looks after who again, are polite and happy due to the calming home from home environment Kelly has created. The regular updates and photos she sends to let me know what Freya is doing through the day are a lovely little ray of sunshine when I'm working but my mind doesn't need this as reassurance as I trust Kelly 150% with Freya and any other children I have in future will most definitely be going to Kelly.
The hardest part for me was the thought of having to walk away from my crying daughter and how guilty this would make me feel - it was a complete surprise to me that the tears would come when I pick her up and she's had so much fun she doesn't want to leave!

Kelly has been childminding my 1 year old and 5 year old since October 2019. My 1 year old wouldn't settle with my initial setting and so I was having to take lots of time off work to pick him up early etc.
I turned to Kelly after finding her online and she was able to take on both my boys the following week. Kelly was amazing from the very beginning. She would keep me updated with pictures of my 1 year old having fun at soft plays. This made me feel so much better as a mum returning to work from maternity leave. I love that Kelly keeps my little boy so stimulated and entertained all throughout the day. He will now run down her pathway in the mornings with his arm out to Kelly saying 'hi ya, hi ya'.
My sons developent has also come on leaps and bounds with Kelly. He would come home singing the whole twinkle twinkle tune and the alphabet tune from a very young age. He has also learnt different words with Kelly. We have been very impressed with his progress.
My 5 year old took to Kelly straight away. Kelly's house has a very warm loving family feel. It's definitely a home from home environment which I think has helped my boys to settle so quick.
The other children at Kelly's setting are absolutely lovely too. All very well behaved children and they play so nicely together.
Kelly does arts and crafts after school with the children and reads my sons school book with him.
My 5 year old was never interested in drawing or colouring before joining Kelly's setting. Within a couple of weeks Kelly had him colouring and drawing and now he loves doing it at home which is great to see.
Kelly has been very flexible too which has been a massive help for both my husband and I working in the city. Luckily we have only had a few occasions where the trains have delayed us. Kelly has always been very understanding which really does put you at ease.
Kelly had also never taken a day off so I haven't had any worries re cover.
She really is the Mary Poppins of Laindon. I wouldn't trust anyone else to have my children.

Kelly has been my childminder for the last 4 years. She has looked after my daughter since she was 11 months old and she is now 5. My daughter is a happy, confident and intelligent little girl and I believe a lot of this is because of the time she spends with Kelly. It was only natural that Kelly would look after my little boy from 11 months old also and he is now thriving in her care aged 3 years. Kelly spends time nurturing their skills and is always understanding of their needs. From crafting, to outings, to school pick up times to even potty training, there is nothing she won’t do to keep the children entertained and happy and is now considered part of our family. There is no one who I would trust more with my children. Kelly’s family and home are also a big part of my children’s lives now and I cannot imagine being without them. I cannot recommend her care enough!

My son has been with Kelly since June and has absolutely flourished in both a social and developmental sense. He loves going to Kelly and the activities she does with the children are fabulous. They are always busy and I am kept updated throughout the day with photos of my son taking part within the activities.
