About Me
My name is Jane Walker, I am 53 years old, we have 2 daughters aged 34 and 23. We live in Stapenhill, Burton upon Trent.
My Experience
We are Ofsted rated GOOD I have previously worked as a Family Support worker for staffordshire county council, a position I held for 15 years, this is where I gained my NVQ level 3 working with children and young people. I have an array of experience around all aspects of childcare, especially child protection., fostering and under fives. I have worked closely with families teaching parenting skills and supporting all members of the family. I have also worked as a Prison Custody officer for 8 years, this is where I decided to go back into childcare, seeing first hand the destruction a disadvantaged childhood can cause.
I have decided to become a childminder to offer a helping hand to parents and a calm, inviting place for children to learn how to play and life skills.
I work with 2 assistants who are amazing with the children.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ level 3 in caring for children and young people. NVQ level 3 in custodial care.
My Availability
I currently work 8am through to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm Fridays

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I charge £6.50 per hour, parents provide meals and I provide snack and drinks

From the moment my children met Jane (10 & 6) they have never looked back this is the first time they been to a childminder (I have gone back to work full time) and I was very nervous to say the least but there was no need!! Jane and her family provide a homely and nurturing environment. Jane is very flexible and always happy to accommodate my needs as long as it does not effect the other children she cares for. There isn't a day that goes by when the children are either baking, playing games (encouraging turn taking and sharing) or making something crafty!! Jane is very respectful towards my children and they appreciate the boundaries she is a great person to have in my children's lives and we can't recoonend her highly enough, in my sons words "she is great and makes me very happy!
