About Me
I am a mum to two lovely girls now aged 24 and 28. I live in Wallington in Surrey where I have lived for the last 27 years. I enjoy going to the theatre, eating out and socializing with my children, friends and family. I am currently working as a nanny 2 days a week for a gorgeous 3 year old and his new baby sister and as a nanny 1 day a week for an amazing and fun 1 and 4 year olds. I also work for a small charity for 2 days that offers outreach sessions in communication and intensive interaction for people with learning disabilities.
Having worked both in childcare and being a mum myself I feel I have a valuable insight in the needs of children but also of the challenges of being a working parent and leaving your precious child in the care of another person. .
I offer a gentle parenting style which is child led and strive to provide a varied mix of stimulating outdoor and indoor activities to ignite curiosity while also allowing plenty of quiet times singing and reading books together and of course always lots of time for cuddles.
My Experience
I am a qualified nursery nurse and have worked with children for the last 32 years in a variety of settings including
12 years nannying in the U.K and abroad
5 years running a nursery for children aged 1-5 years
2 years working in a primary school nursery unit
8 years childminding
15 years organising communication and play therapy sessions for people with a learning disability.
28 years experience of being a proud mum to my beautiful girls.
My Qualifications
N.N.E.B qualified in July 1882 (nursery nurse examining board)
C.P.Q.S qualified in July 1889 (certificate in post qualifying studies)
My Availability
I am currently available Tuesdays and for evening babysitting.
