Hi! My names Jess, I'm 26 years old.
I passed my A level Diploma in Childcare and Education in 2006.
I love working with children of all ages. I have previously worked with babies through to key stage 1 aged children. I am very motivated working with children as it is something I am compassionate about. Thinking of fun things to do and seeing the enjoyment on their little faces is just lovely.
I have a 4 year old boy who I love to spend time with. We love to be outside doing all different activities and socialising at the park etc.
I am very kind, gentle, loving, and fun. I fully believe in adapting to each child's individual needs and working with them to fulfil them. I am currently looking for a part time/full time as a nanny in this area.
My hobbies are very child based. I love to be outside, walking, going to the beach (all kinds of weather) And going to places like Pennywell Farm.
My Experience
I currently work as a full time nanny with a family with 2 children under 5. This involves school runs, clubs, activities and days out, As well as preparing dinner a couple nights a week.
Whilst completing childcare course, I worked with babies and children in nurseries as well as working with children at primary school.
When I completed this course, I had a job as a teaching assistant starting in year one. my job was to work 1:1 with a child who had learning difficulties. I used to encourage him to concentrate and participate during class activities as well as helping i'm with any work he needed guidance with. I also had to plan activities to do with him just me and him. I loved this job and took great pride in his progress. I would also be around at their lunchtimes, encouraging them to eat healthy, and would be in the playground at lunchtimes playing too.
My 2 younger brothers are 10 years younger than me so I have always been around children and helped out with daily tasks.
My Qualifications
Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
My Availability
My son currently goes to pre school 2 and half days a week so I would be available these times. I would also be able to bring my son with me any other time too. I would be available all day 4/5 days a week, preferably Monday to Friday.
In September my son will be attending school full time.
I currently work for a family full time but will be available from the beginning of July.
