About Me
Hi
My name is nichola soulsby and I live in Amesbury with my husband Richie, my 17 year daughter Jessica, my 14 year old son Aaron and my 10 year old son Thomas. We have a golden retriever dog called primrose, 2 rabbits called marmalade and Paddington and a fish tank which also houses Philip and Brian our turtles.
I have been childminding since 2006 and have just received my second outstanding grade from ofsted in February 2020. Childminding is loved by myself and my family and my children love all the children who come into the setting.
I believe every child should have a caring loving setting and experiences to remember and a chance to grow before they start their journey in school.
My conservatory is my playroom which Has carefully planned activities for the children to engage in, books to read and art and craft for them to develop their imagination. This opens onto my garden and I have a lovely kitchen where we bake and paint and enjoy our day. Children can experience the outdoors on our trips to the new forest, farms and national trust houses and gardens, or just by stepping into the garden. I have a 8 seater van which is fully insured with car seats for us to enjoy day trips. Children can rest in the living room or go to sleep in the travel cots upstairs.
I follow the development Matters and use tapestry which is an online portal to track your child’s development. I believe working in partnership with families is the best way to help a child develop.
My Experience
I started childminding in 2006 and am registered with ofsted and am insured with pacey. I have first aid training, a gnvq in health and social care and a nvq level 3 in childcare. I have also just obtained a level to in understanding Children’s mental health. I have looked after babies from 6 months old to children of 12 year old
