About Me
Hello, my name is Jan Rappitt and I would love to look after your child. I have been an OFSTED Registered Childminder for 20 years. I live in a semi - detached house in the Pittville area of Cheltenham with my two children. I drive an 7 seater people carrier. My home has a very large enclosed garden where I have a good selection of toys and equipment to promote outdoor play and having fun.
The children have access to two rooms in my house where they can play. Activities I offer include music play,cooking, painting, drawing, messy play, arts and crafts, dressing up and many more.
I had a successful Ofsted inspection in June 2018 when I was awarded a Good grade. I am a member of my local Childminders Association and attend several childminder support groups held in Cheltenham, as well as toddler groups.
My Experience
Prior to becoming a childminder I worked as a chef, and I offer a hot home cooked tea if required.
I am experienced in looking after children with special needs. (although my house is not suitable for wheelchairs)
During my 20 years as a childminder I have looked after 40 children with ages ranging from 6 months to approximately 12 years of age.

My Availability
My setting is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm.
From September 2019 I will have one space available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for 0 - 4 year olds.
I am not available to work for one and a half weeks over Christmas, 2 weeks in August or any Bank Holidays.
A retainer fee will be charged if you wish to secure a place but do not need an immediate start. This is usually half fees.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
Hourly rate will be discussed upon initial contact with me. When a place is taken up fees are payable in advance weekly or monthly. Full fees are payable when I am available for work, but I do not charge when I am on holiday or when I am off sick (fortunately not very often) or on Bank Holidays.
