My hometown is Falkirk in Scotland, but I have lived in Blackpool for over 23 years. I have been Ofsted Registered for over 18 years and enjoy every minute of running my own business Laura's Little Angels. I was delighted to receive an overall OUTSTANDING Ofsted report for the third time in July 2022 (which is the highest you can get). I also received this grade in 2016 and 2009.
I love my job, as it gives me great pleasure in working with children and babies. I have been working within the childcare sector most of my life, since being offered a permanent post from my school work experience job, in a nursery. I am a qualified child carer and my desire to professionalise, led me to further extend my knowledge into postnatal care, so I could provide a support system to new mothers and their babies.
I can provide flexible hours of care including All year-round contracts, Term time only contracts and school holidays, I also offer a Pickup/Drop off service, depending on times and location.
I support and work with local teen parents, in returning to college. I also support children with additional needs and provide care for children who receive the 2,3 and 4 years old funded places.
Outings and visits are organized in term time and school holidays e.g., Zoo, parks, farms, beach, Sealife centre, indoor/outdoor play areas, museums and the Tower etc. I also attend toddler groups.
We have a secure enclosed back garden, which is safe for the children to play in. I have a range of outdoor toys for all different ages including a sand pit, playhouse, slide, little tykes cube, sensory area, ride on cosy coupes, Garage playhouse, balancing beams, steppingstone area, chalk boards, large tyres and scooters etc.
I can provide a wide variety of toys to meet the needs of each child, to suit their age and stage of development. My activities include art and crafts, baking, puzzles, painting, drawing, gloop, water play, sand play, play dough, aqua draw, clay modelling and much much more.
My Experience
I am experienced in working with adults and children. Also experienced with SEN . I have 8 years nursery experience. I have worked with babies aged 0 months to children aged 14 years.
My Qualifications
National Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
Postnatal Carer Non-medical Maternity Nurse 12 Credits at Level 3
8 Standard Grades.

I moved to the area about 2 years ago and wanted to start college again. I contacted Laura as she was recommended through family and she arranged a visit for me and my son to go round and view her setting. Laura has a large play room filled with toys and books for all ages. Aswell as a garden with many toys and activities my son absolutely loves it. Laura was absolutely amazing helping me sort out all the forms for the correct funding from college. She also offers pick up and drops off which I found really handy to be able to get to college on time and she is very flexible and will work round mine and my sons needs.
Laura takes the children on so many days out such as the zoo,sea life, Lego land beach and many more at no extra cost to us which is absolutely amazing. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!

Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to me. It's an absolute pleasure. It's been so nice to have had the chance to look after many of your family members.
Laura provided me with an excellent childcare service from start to finish. Due to an unexpected family situation I was in need of some very last minute childcare for my two children aged 9 and 10. As I live out of the area and not knowing any childcare providers in the area I was nervous about leaving my children with somebody they didn't know. I initially chose Laura based on her positive reviews and impressive trainings and work Facebook profile. Laura returned my messages promptly, arranged a time to suit me to visit her at her home and to meet my children before taking care of them the next day. Laura has her training certificates clearly displayed on the wall and provides an excellent childcare environment in her home. Laura really went the extra mile, arranging to pick up the kids and drop them off which made my day a million times less stressful. My children had a GREAT time with Laura, she took them out to places they would enjoy, and ensured they had a good time. I am so thankful to Laura, I felt she 100 per cent understood my situation and was so flexible, accommodating and understanding. Laura was extremely professional, I would highly recommend her without any hesitation. Thank you Laura!

laura is a loverly person a great childminder and amazing with the children she treats every child individually and always puts there needs 1st she does some amazing activitys with the childen aswell couldnt of asked for a beter childminder
