About Me
Hello my name is Samantha and I am an accredited childminder registered with Ofsted since 2008. I was rated 'Good' in my last inspection.
I am a mother and an experienced childcare professional. I have worked in children centres, were I managed playgroup sessions worked in nurseries and am passionate about my job as I love working with children. I am committed to the welfare and development of all children in my care and will ensure that your child enters a friendly and stimulating setting.
I have an NVQ Level 3 in childcare and development and a foundation degree in Early years which I obtained through the open university whilst caring for my children and working fulltime as a childminder, I strongly believe in continuous development and ensure that I keep myself up to date with current legislation and provide activities and resources in-line with the EYFS.
I have a commitment to providing a high standard of care and provide a range of play activities, both indoors and outdoors regularly to give the children variety and rich blend of learning environments. I ensure we go out every day for at least a daily walk where we explore the local parks, farms, woodlands, museums, soft-play, play-groups and local outdoor facilities as I believe in keeping healthy and active. I am flexible and believe that a good working relationship with parents is paramount to the children in my care feeling settled and secure in order that they can grow and be the best that they can be.
My Experience
I have gained my early years experience as a childminder since 2008,I have worked along side another childminder but decided to set-up on my own.
I have worked with children with additional needs, in nurseries, children centres as an Early years educator and Family support worker. Planning sessions, preparing the resources and offering guidance when required.
My Qualifications
As a commitment to my professional development I routinely attend training courses that will develop my knowledge. I have an updated First Aid certificate and safeguarding certificate.
I have my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Development and also a Foundation degree in Early years practice through the Open University.
My Availability
I have availability on Monday to Friday 08:00 -17:30 occasionally to 18:00

We were so lucky to find Samatha to care for our daughter. She has been caring, reliable and engaged in providing excellent child care. Samantha is experienced and well educated. She provides a great environment both in her home and through regular visits to museums, parks and local play groups and children’s centres. Our daughter (2) has been with her for a year and she’s a happy and enthusiastic about being left with Samantha. We would highly recommend Samantha as a childminder.
