About Me
My name is Janette and I'm a registered and insured childminder and I run a home from home setting called “Little Bears Childcare”. I have 4 children of my own, my youngest are 14 and 16 years and attend a local secondary school. My eldest 2 are at university.
I offer a huge range of fun and educational activities which include (but not limited to) cooking, arts and crafts, storytime, messy play etc.
Weekly we attend some fantastic toddler groups as well as visiting local parks, soft play, museums and the local library. Im also a season ticket holder at Willows Farm.
I love working with children and my aim is to make them feel like part of the family.
I use a secure online diary system for parents, to record all their activities and adventures and upload photos daily.
I live in Garston in a large 4 bed house with its own play room and a large secure garden, with a dedicated play area just for the children.
My house is well stocked with all kinds of toys and resources etc to make you child’s day a happy, fun and educational one. My house is child safe with all the necessary equipment in place.
Im very close to good road links, numerous local parks, shops, toddler groups and schools.
I hold a full driving licence with insurance.
My Experience
I have over 20 years of experience of caring for children of all ages, from newborn upwards.
I have done all the necessary courses and will follow the EYFS as set out by ofsted.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered and have a level 3 diploma in Home based childcare. I also have certificates in paediatric first aid and safeguarding children.
My Availability
My hours are 7.30am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday.

Janette has been looking after my 1 year old son since my return to work earlier this year. Janette has made the transition back to work so easy and my son couldn't be happier. She offers a huge range of activities and they have busy days every day so he comes home tired and happy! He loves going and I can see his development is really progressing where he is spending time with Janette and the other children. I love that every day we get a diary with pictures so we can see what he's been up to!
I can't recommend Janette highly enough- she provides a caring, home from home environment - my son spends time with her own children which I feel is a sign of how the children in her care are well looked after and treated as part of the family. Because of Janette we can go to work knowing our son is safe, secure, happy and very very well looked after!

My little one has been with Janette since he was three months old. I’ve never had a days worry, as he is so settled and happy in her care.
She has such a wonderful, happy smiley easy going nature about her.
She has such a natural rapport with all the children she cares for and they all seem so at ease and themselves with her. There is nothing but laughter and smiles whenever I pick My little one up. I love the fact that she is so into ensuring the children are active and are learning in a fun way – whether it’s a picnic in the park or a trip to Willows Farm its always a delight to hear what adventures they’ve has been up to!
I’m naturally a very cautious and worrying person, but the moment I met Janette I could see (for want of a better term) a good aura. She has such a kind heart and it shows with how much my son has blossomed in her care. Whatever activity the children are doing, no one is left out (as he was so young joining her) such as at Christmas when they made decorations for Christmas she helped Sean with his mistle “toes” and other decorations. But it’s the way that even her own children are all involved in activities that it feels less like you are dropping to a childminder but to a favourite aunty.
The online diary that She keeps is fantastic – it makes you feel like even when you’re not there, you are a part of there day. (and oh so handy when you’re missing your little one!)
My little one completely adores Janette – he always is smiling whenever I drop him off and if I have trouble getting him into his carseat (his new favourite game!) I just have to say we’re off to see Janette and instantly he’s in his seat happy!

My son Harry has been with Janette now for 9 months, since he was 13 months old. He settled in very well and is always very happy when I drop him off and pick him up. Janette does lots of activities with Harry and I get daily diary and photo updates about what they've been up to and what he's had to eat sleep etc, which I find very useful! Harry is always coming home with arts and crafts which he's made whilst in Janettes care.
I'm very happy and lucky to have found Janette and have peace of mind that Harry is in great care whilst I'm at work!

I have had my little girl with Janette since I started a new job. Janette being the person she is made the transition for both my little girl and I very easy. Mollie always has a great smile when I collect her and loves her time there. Janette's parenting views are very similar to ours and Mollie gets the best consistent care. Jeanette's energy is amazing and this clearly shows in the activities Mollie takes part in. At Christmas she was sent home with a huge bag of arts and crafts which was lovely! I get a daily diary update of Mollie's including photos and what she has done for the day. It's a lovely bit of access to the day she has had! I would 100% recommend Janette she is amazing !!!
