About Me
Hi, my name is Emma Raine and I'm an Ofsted 'Outstanding' Childminder. I've been working with children for over 28 years and Childminding for 18 years now! I live with my husband and 19 year old son in our lovely big home in the Old Town, Hemel Hempstead. I offer home from home childcare with lots of fun and love thrown in!!
In January 2020 I gained my 3rd ‘OUTSTANDING’ grade in my Ofsted inspection. Please, please read the report on the Ofsted Reports site. URN EY294982
In my home I have a large dedicated playroom that holds fantastic educational resources. I have a lovely huge garden with great outdoor equipment! We also have a 4 year old Cockapoo who is well loved by all the little ones.
We visit fantastic toddle groups in and around Hemel Hempstead most of the week and are part of great Childminding network groups. We also visit Whipsnade zoo, parks, forests, Soft play centres, farms and go for regular wellie walks with our wellie walk gang friends. We love to visit our local Library and garden centres as we love to be out planting flowers and growing fruit and vegetables the garden.
I offer 9-23 month, 2year and 3&4 year old funding and except Childcare Vouchers.
Please note that I don’t work Fridays to keep the house Sparkly clean and catch up on paperwork! I’m currently only taking on Children and babies under 5 as I don’t offer school pick ups.

My Experience
I've been working with children now for over 29 years, 19 of that being a Childminder! I'm also a Mum.
I hold a paediatric First Aid certificate along with a safeguarding certificate. I regularly go on courses to further my knowledge in child development.
My Qualifications
I'm NNEB qualifed, hold a pediatric firstaid certificate, basic food hygiene and child protection/safeguarding.
I also attend regular child development courses and webinars!

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.75 per hour

Emma is an excellent childcare provider. The children’s best interests are at the heart of everything she does. Such warm care, in an amazing set up. The household always feels full of the greatest happiness. My child skips and sings on the way to Emma’s setting, always leaves happy and has plenty to tell me about her day.
The weeks are well structured, full of lots of different activities to suit all little people. Communication is well documented, so you can keep memories along the way.
We are elated to have Emma as our childcare provider, if you are lucky enough to have her too, she will be a welcomed addition to your child’s life.

Emma is an outstanding child minder and has looked after my 4 children over the years. I have had good and bad experiences of childcare in the past but Emma is brilliant in every way. My youngest 2 are still with her, 4 and 6, and cannot wait to spend extra time with her in the holidays. There days are fun and educational and I know they are safe, secure and loved. Thank you Emma, don't know what I would do without you.

A lovely lovely lady!!! It was a pleasure leaving my 2 year old daughter in Emma`s house and in her hands! She is absolutely very carring person who always puts the children`s needs 1st , she is brilliant in her job. My daughter loved going to Emma as she knew she would have wonderful time with great and loving people aroud her!. Thank you Emma so much, shame we have to leave ;-( Wish there`s more Emma`s around :-)
