About Me

My name is Sarah, I am an Ofsted registered childminder, graded GOOD at my last inspection.
I am married with five wonderful children, aged from 8 to 31. The older children no longer live at home. My family are very supportive of my work and form strong bonds with all the children.
I operate a home from home setting. You can be assured that your child will be happy, safe, secure and stimulated, with various opportunities helping them to achieve their full potential and have fun. I provide a high standard of quality care ensuring an enjoyable environment.
I have a fully enclosed rear garden with lots of outdoor toys. I live next to a park and woodlands which I take full advantage of, and enjoy going for picnics and walks for some good exercise.
I make learning fun and interesting by organising a wide variety of themed activities to stimulate young minds. I provide a large selection of toys for activities such as messy play, and arts and crafts, and a range of resources to encourage children to explore the world around them. We visit groups and meet with other childminders so that your child will make friends and develop their social skills.
I follow the 7 area’s of the EYFS so your child will have a sound foundation ready for when they start school.
You will receive daily photographs of your little one having fun and learning. You will have access to a secure online portal which is updated daily, so you can see your child's development as they progress through the Early Years.

My Experience
I have over 30 years experience looking after children
I have had various jobs whilst raising my own family.
I have previously worked as a Senior Health Care Assistant running a 30 beded EMI unit for Bupa, for five years.
I have completed two years of a Nursing Degree before taking maternity leave to add to my own family.

Safeguarding and various relevant courses as they become available They cover a variety of areas from child development and special needs to play experiences and nutrition and hygiene.
I believe it is vitally important to continue my training and refresh my skills in order for me to provide a good quality childcare service.
Prior to my Ofsted registration I was a Senior HCA with BUPA ,and have 2 years Student Nurse experience.
My Availability
My availability is from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday- Friday Although I may able to accommodate your needs outside of these hours, Message me with your requirements.

I would like to firstly clarify, I never give 5 stars to anyone or anything, I save the fifth star for those that goes way beyond the expectations.
Sarah has been truly exceptional. She has been more than a childminder, she became an advisor, our support, a person that went beyond her professional duties to help us, her invaluable experience both as childminder and as mother, specially at the beginning, helped us greatly. Not having any family close by, Sarah became less a childminder and more a grandmother, a person we trusted, that cared enormously for our daughter to the level that when we notice something was wrong with her development, was the only person that really cared and saw the little details that indicated our daughter suffered a stroke while she was still in the womb, not even the health visitors cared enough at the time.
Of course leaving Sarah has been really emotional for all, she has delivered amazing care during the three years she has been our childminder and will be greatly missed.
It is worth mentioning that Sarah's setting is perfect, before we decided to choose he as our childminder, we visited quite a few to compare, with only one exception, all other childminder we had seen at the time had terrible settings for the children, Sarah welcomed us on a Saturday, when she was not caring for any children and gave us a small tour of her house. Over the time we've seen Sarah develop her place, upgrading and purchasing new toys and facilities so the children could enjoy a safe and clean environment.
Another thing we really liked of Sarah was that she often visited a lot of places and groups, meeting with other childminders, giving us the feeling that our daughter was never enclosed in the same place with the same people, it felt more like if she was in kindergarten, but with a full time teacher looking after her. This was really positive for our daughter's development and confidence interacting with other children.

I feel so sad writing this review as Sarah is the most amazing childminder, we are moving home and it is too far a commute to continue with Sarah (we even thought about not moving just so we could keep Lily with Sarah!) Sarah and her family are all lovely and we couldn't have asked for a better lady to leave our child with, she is so kind and Lily couldn't wait to see Sarah every morning. I cannot recommend Sarah enough, we are going to miss her very much and any child would be lucky to have her as their childminder. xx

We spent quite a while trying to find a suitable childminder for our son Ollie who was 10 months old at the time - when we found Sarah I know instantly she was perfect! Sarah is incredibly kind, caring, honest and just all round amazing with children. My son has some allergies and needed medicines, nothing was a problem for Sarah. We were so sad to leave and Ollie misses her all the time. I would recommend Sarah to all my friends and family. Thank you Sarah! Xxx

I have been very happy with Sarah as a childminder for my daughter. She has been very caring and thoughtful towards her and adapts to meet her needs as she develops.
My daughter has always been excited to go to Sarah's in the morning amd enjoyed showing me what she had created in the afternoons when I picked her up.
I would definitely recommend Sarah and would seek to use her again should I return to work following the birth of my second daughter.

My biggest fear about leaving my son (Thomas) with a childminder was that he would be dragged around and his needs would always be second to the childminder's own children. Not with Sarah. She treats Thomas like a part of the family and he has a brilliant relationship with her two children. I can't speak highly enough of her and what she does for and with Thomas. She is friendly, reliable, flexible and a very genuine person. Thomas loves going to her house and it makes me happy to know he is happy. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Sarah.

Meeting Sarah and her adorable family for the first time I instantly felt comfortable..not only the way she interacted with our son but the way he took to them. Discussing arrangements for childcare with sarah she instantly offered options to help me in any way she could to suit round my job. I haven't come across any childcare provider that could offer the type of care that adjusts to working parents to the standards she has, they often go to play dates and walks in the woods, shes just all round amazing, so sad to have to leave - wish Sarah could come with us.
