About Us

Rye garden day nursery is situated on East Dulwich road, we are nestled in Peckham Rye park giving us easy access to the nature garden and ponds. The park has many shrubs and trees, giving us the opportunity to explore nature and its habitat and we are developing principals of ‘Forest Schools’. The children enjoy planting and digging; we look for mini beasts and watch birds.

We are a multicultural setting that prides itself on the many cultures represented by the children and families who use our service.
Our staff team reflects the diverse ethnic and religious groups, this promotes our inclusive practice and we celebrate different religious and cultural beliefs and events.
The children are involved in various outdoor projects, trips and activities, we visit TATE MODERN twice a year, and each theme is followed by a trip outside the setting.
There are two main areas inside the building providing space for a pre-school / toddler room and a baby room. We have a kitchen, an office, a staff area and We have sole use of a newly refurbished, single storey building.


We have qualified and experienced staffs that have had SENCO training, Safeguarding levels 1, 2 and 3 training, Allegations Against Staff, Transition in Early Years and First Aid training. All staff members have paediatric first aid certificates. Currently there are seven full time members of staff, 1 level 6, 2 levels 3’s, 3 level 2’s.

We offer free 15 and 30 hour local authority funded places for babies, 2, 3 and 4year olds.

We are opened from 7:30am - 6:00pm.
