About Me
After having my first daughter in 2014, I noticed the demand for childcare in my area in Scotland. Then when I was made redundant from the oil industry, I decided to go back to my childcare roots and become a childminder. Most of my life and career paths have been chosen around children, as I just love to work with them and feel that it is what I am meant to do. After working as a Childminder in Aberdeen for 2+ years under the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA), I have since become registered with OFSTED in England as of December 2018. I have Public Liability with Childcare.co.uk.
My Experience
After completing my HNC in childcare and education at college, I worked in a private nursery for two years and then worked in a Primary school for two years as classroom assistant and support for learning (SFL).
Prior to that I was a babysitter for lots of people and was a Youth worker at multiple clubs.
I have since become a parent to my 4 beautiful children.

My Availability
I currently have spaces for pre-school age children and also spaces before/after school for MANOR ROAD Primary School from February 2023. I also have spaces during the school holidays.
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm. I can be flexible, so please get in touch if you think I could help.

My Fees

Full day 7.30am-6.00pm (Monday - Friday) £42
Morning 7.30am-12.30pm £23
Afternoon 1.00-6.00pm £23
Before school £8.50
After school £11.50
Holiday care £42 per day
I can accept 15 and 30 hour funded places and am registered to accept tax free childcare.

I am from the Aberdeen area and Laura looked after my daughter for just over 2 years when I was working full time. Laura is a very nice person, she is great with children and she provides a high standard professional childcare service. She took my daughter to playgroup, nursey and then school. She also took her to her ballet and kindergym classes. My daughter loved going to Laura’s and spending time with Laura’s children and the other children that she childminded for. She provided healthy lunches, snacks, brilliant activities and day trips. My daughter was quite a fussy eater and Laura helped to encourage her to try new things and helped improve her eating habits. She also taught my daughter good manners and also to be kind and caring towards others. We were sad to see Laura move away from Aberdeen as she is a fantastic childminder and we would highly recommend her.
