About Me
My name is Sarah, I am an OFSTED registered Childminder, based in the centre of Northwich and I provide excellent childcare in a loving, home environment.
I started working in childcare in 1997 working in primary education. I have also spent a number of years in-between working in a large private company as an operations manager. I returned to childcare following the birth of my daughter in 2009. I love being surrounded by children of all ages and feel it's a privilege to be able to make an impact on their early years.
Having founded and run a local playgroup, I like to think I take a very organised approach to the structure of each day. I follow the "Early Years Foundation" which is the same standard used in all early years settings, including schools and nurseries.
Each day we have planned activities which include, crafts, baking, music, speech and language, personal development, reading and writing. We also allow time for free play to help develop your child's imaginations and social skills.
Some of these activities will be carried out in the home or at different setting including playgroups.
We also do day trips, for example, the Zoo. Safari park, local parks and farms, the library and soft play
We have our very own Forest school as part of the setting.

My Experience
I have a wide range of experiences built up over the last twenty plus years. My early career was spent working with children with additional needs in a primary school in South Wales where I lived at the time. Since starting the PlayGroup and the childminding businesses I have broad experience looking after children including newborn and children of school age.
My Qualifications
BTEC National Diploma Child Hood Studies - Distinction
Level 3 - Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education - Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare (QCF)
Safeguarding Level 2
Paediatric First Aid - Level 3
Food Safety - Level 2
My Availability
Spaces available Monday to Thursday normally 8am -5pm although I can be flexible on times, please get in touch if you are looking for childcare. I would love to hear from you.
We offer before and after school care, school holiday cover and term time only places. The schools we work with our Great Budworth, Antrobus and also Wincham Primary School.

Sarah has provided my daughter with the care and love she needed, for a whole year, and I will be forever grateful for this. She not only helped my daughter grow and thrive, but helped me tremendously. Sarah creates a warm, friendly, loving environment for the children she looks after.

Sarah has looked after my daughter for the last 22 months (since my daughter was 12 weeks old) for 4 days a week. She provides an excellent level of service and care in a lovely home environment. Daily reporting is excellent and more comprehensive than I have seen in some larger nurseries including lots of daily photographs and personliased updates.
My daughter really enjoys the blend of activities and trips out, and her development is beyond many other 2 year olds. I believe that the structured approach to childcare which has been taken by Sarah has contributed towards that.
