Hello
I’m Emily, I am 40 years old, I am a Mum to my Beautiful Daughter’s who are 15yr and 2.5 yrs old. I'm a Happy, Bubbly person and Absolutely love working and caring after children it is what I do best!
I have a great connection with all of the children I care for and with their parents.
I have been Registered now as a childminder coming 13 years now & i can honestly say it’s my dream job!
My sister Laura is my Assistant & has worked with me for 7 years ,she comes in and works alongside me 3 days a week assisting me and playing with the children in the mornings and afternoons. My mum Debbie is also registered as my assistant and works alongside me when needed.
The children and parents love Laura & Debbie and all really enjoying the bond they share with the children.
My Experience
I have over 20 years Experience in childcare ,I have worked in nursery's in the Southbourne & Bournemouth area and also been a live in nanny to a family of 5 children aged newborn,5 & 8 . I worked on a summer camp twice in America with children aged 5-15years old and absolutely loved it!
My Qualifications
Level 3 in childcare & Education , First Aid & safeguarding in children trained along with other relevant qualifications.
My Availability
I have 1 available space from April 2025 for a child to join my Little Explorer’s aged between 1-3 years old.
The space available is for 15 hours per week (government-funded or unfunded families welcome) with no additional charges/top ups, Term-time only.
The days and hours offered are /to cover Tuesdays , Wednesdays and Thursdays-9:00 AM to 2:00PM.
I am a home from home setting offering a loving , nurturing environment for your child to thrive through their early years with myself with the bonus of fun memorable outdoor adventures within our local community. Weekly we enjoy attending local playgroups, library ,parks,beach and more.
This could be an ideal arrangement for families needing care that fits around part-time work or school hours.

Emily is a fantastic childminder. She is very friendly and approachable and my children love going to her before school. My youngest daughter struggled to settle at school after the lockdown and Emily was very kind and encouraging and helped her make the transition. Along with being kind and caring, she is also very professional and I feel confident my children are safe and well-looked after when in Emily's care. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone.

Emily is best, she is so kind, gentle and caring with my son. Emily was the first childminder I went with and straight away she had an instant bond with my son. I was very lucky to find her and would recommend her to anyone.

Emily is amazing! Our children have been going to her before & after school and during the holidays for over 7 years. She's so bubbly, caring and fun, always has a smile on her face and nothing is too much trouble, the kids have always loved going there. She takes them out for great days during the holidays and is so imaginative with indoor play on a rainy day. She creates a happy and encouraging atmosphere for the childern and i can't reccommend her highly enough. Thank you Emily x

I am so glad I found Emily. She makes being a working parent so much easier as I know my child is safe, cared for and nurtured. Her house is warm, welcoming and everyone that works with her are equally lovely.
Emily really takes the time to listen and engage with the children in her care and is always calm and patient.

Emily and Laura have been perfect for us. Emily is kind, welcoming and has been understanding and flexible during lockdown. They always open the door with a smile, no matter what and my daughter loves going there - it feels like leaving her with family.

Emily feels like part of our family; My son went to Emily between the ages of 5 and 11 and my daughter has been going to Emily since she was 3 - she is now 11 and in year 6. Emily provides us with before and after school childcare including drop offs and pick ups.
Emily has a genuine love of children: she is not only provides the welcoming, positive, safe and cosy environment that you would expect, but she goes over and beyond. She has provided support for homework tasks, provides crafts and messy activities, has a really fun outside play area and also has space for the children to chill out and have some quiet time if they prefer. I’m always impressed at the interaction between the children of different ages who go to Emily - my own children have made friends with others in different age groups and year groups at Emily’s who they would never have had the opportunity to get to know otherwise.
Emily is completely reliable and she always does her best to accommodate our childcare requirements (which have changed quite a few times over the years as our jobs have changed and the children have got older)
I have no hesitation in recommending a Emily as the best childminder in the area (and beyond!) In fact I wouldn’t leave my children with anyone else.

Emily looked after my son from when he was 7 months old until he was 3 and he started pre school.
Emily does such a fantastic job and it’s like a home from home. Even now our son still asks after Emily and wants to go play at her house. Emilys home is a safe and happy environment and the children get taken on lots of lovely days out. Emily takes the time to understand the needs of each child she looks after and really encourages their development.
I would highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a childminder for their child.
