About Me
My name is Bernadette and I am a registered childminder with the Care Inspectorate and also a member of Scottish Childminding Association and I am a mum to a boy who is 11 years old, I love the outdoors, I enjoy baking cakes, playing with my son, growing my own fruit & vegetable, I enjoy watching my little boy learn and develop and I have a lot of patience teaching him. I love swimming, going to the beach and spending time with my family. I have a lovely back garden which is all fenced in and has a locked gate for extra security. My garden is child friendly. I have a lovely sand pit with child friendly sand for the children to play with also, I have slides, large trampoline with safety net, small climbing frame, small picnic bench which is under a gazebo to shelter the kids from the sun if they are eating lunch or playing. I have a range of various toys also.,
My Experience
I have been around children from birth to adult years all my life. I practically brought up my adopted niece. I have a son so obviously I have experienced first hand what its like to be a mummy and to raise a baby to a toddler and then a young child. I have a big family with lots of nieces and nephews and spent a number of years with them, learning them to read, tie their shoe laces, ride a bike, swimming, all the things in life children experience throughout their growing years. I have a child friendly home and I take pride in my business. I love being a mummy and love looking after other children too. I have been caring for children for 10 years as a registered childminder and absolute love it.
My Qualifications
I HAVE COMPLETED COURSES ON THE FOLLOWING - INTRODUCTION TO CHILD MINDING, CHILD PROTECTION, CHILD-LED PLANNING, GETTING IT RIGHT FOR EVERY CHILD (GIRFEC),BUSINESS SIDE TO CHILD MINDING, PAEDRIATRIC FIRST AID, I AM ALSO A MEMBER OF PVG SCHEME,SCOTTISH CHILD MINDING ASSOCIATION (SCMA) MEMBER & I AM REGISTERED AND HAVE A PASS CERTIFICATE WITH FIFE COUNCIL FOR FOOD SAFETY.

Bernie looked after my son at short notice after I travelled to Kirkcaldy for a funeral. I can’t thank her enough for everything! My son was really happy. If I’m ever in the area again Bernie will be the first person I call!

Bernadette is the best childmander.She is very nice dedicated, friendly and creative person.She is very involved in her job.She take my 3 year old girl for trips.She has a lot of fantastic ideas to for spend time with my girls.I highly recommended Bernadette, She is simply the best!!!!!!!

Bernie is an amazing childminder, always has lots of activities planned for the kids whether it's days out, arts & crafts, baking & lots more. She makes sure there's always lots of fun...my boy loves his days at Bernie's!
I really can't rate her high enough & think ourselves very lucky to have found her.

I have known this lady for several years, and apon occasion used her to look after my child. She has a great selection of toys for both girls and boys, also a secure back garden. Bernaette also has a 7seater vehicle soshe takes kids to parks/ play centres occasionally too.
