About Me
My name is Nicola (Nick) and I am married and mum to two adults in their twenties. I am a registered childminder with Ofsted. Also I am a qualified nursery nurse (NNEB) with over 30years experience in working with children in various settings.
I provide childcare from birth upwards. I have a very child friendly, safe and secure home based setting with a dedicated playroom and large enclosed garden. The children learn and develop through play and having fun. The children participate from weekly outings to toddler groups, soft play sessions, visits to the park, the harbourside, the Downs and farm etc. we have membership to the wild place and aerospace museum that we visit frequently. The children also experiment through play with paint, glue, sensory, sand and water activities. For the last 8 years I haves worked with an assistant, who is also qualified in level 3 childcare.
My Experience
I am a registered childminder with Ofsted since 2000, I am also a qualified nursery nurse with a wide range of experience in various settings and with children from birth upwards.
My Qualifications
Qualified nursery nurse (NNEB)
First aid trained and qualification
Safeguarding and child protection
Also attended various courses including: special needs, early years foundation stage, managing children's behaviour, language development and others.
My assistant is also level 3 trained in childcare, holds a first aid qualification. She is trained in safeguarding, food hygiene and attended various short courses.
