About Me
Hello, my name is Sarah. I live in Bromsgrove with my familly, within walking distance of the town centre, Saunders park and the local first school -The Orchards (formally Sidemoor First School).
I left my career and decided to stay at home to be here for my children. Since becoming a childminder I have had the pleasure of working with some lovely families and children. Many returning with younger siblings.
My aim is to provide a warm friendly environment where children feel at home and part of the family, providing learning and development to meet the requirements of the EYFS, allowing children to be children - to play, learn, explore and have fun!
I have a wide range of toys, books and activities on offer to suit ages 6 months to 8 years plus. On top of this we spend a lot of time outdoors, in the garden and out and about including visits to the park, library and local woods and attend a toddler group. We do lots of arts and crafts, baking,and learning about nature amongst other things. I am also led by the interests of the children and often find myself researching topics I know nothing about!
My Experience
I am a full time mom to a 15 and 12 year old and in my 9 years of childminding I have looked after over 30 children.
I spend time with friends and family with children of all ages and previously volunteered at the local primary school working alongside the children in the classroom and in the forest area.I also helped at cubs/scouts.
My Qualifications
I completed a local council course to become a childminder and attend regular updates and training on safeguarding,child protection and pediatric first aid. I always look at training opportunities and will explore training, advice and guidance if it is required to support a child in my care. Other examples of training I have undertaken are the Triple P - Positive Parenting Program, an introduction to speech, language and communication, food hygiene, child development and requirements of the EYFS.
My Availability
I operate term time between 08:00 and 17:00 although other times can be discussed.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Fees are charged at an hourly rate and invoiced on a monthly basis. I am happy to accept childcare vouchers and NEF funding to pay for fees. Additional costs will be charged for out of hours care, food and visits as applicable.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at The Orchards First School and Nursery

We have been so happy with the care, attention and learning opportunities our daughter has received. Despite only going before and after school, a great range of activities have been provided.
She has learnt so much, and had the opportunity to develop friendships with older and younger child as well as those a similar age.
I highly recommend her. Fantastic. Very sad that the time has come for our daughter to more onto pastures new.

The year has gone so quickly! Time to say goodbye and wish the little "tinker" all the very best as she starts school and all the adventures it will bring.
