About Me

I work term time only in the Turnfurlong area. I have just had my 6th outstanding grading in March 2020. I am a registered child minder with Ofsted. . I will take childcare vouchers and 2,3,4yr funding. I live with my husband and daughter, we have two small dogs called Rex and Pringles, (they are allergy dogs, bichons , so don’t shed hair.) everyone adores them. I have been childminding since 2000 and love my job. I offer a home from home setting with good quality childcare. Each child learns at its own pace and is treated as an individual. The children are taught good manners and respect. I help prepare the children for school and try to make the transition as smooth as possible, making them independent learners. I plan from the children's interests and try to make my setting as fun and exciting as possible. I do mostly child lead activities that are open ended, Using mostly wooden and holistic resources. The children are encouraged to plan for themselves and their ideas are always taken into consideration, I encourage them to have a go and take risks as I feel we all learn from trial and error. We use the outdoors everyday to enhance learning through playing and exploring. We Attend lots of groups and go on many trips mixing with other children in larger groups Come along and see for yourself.
