I'm an Ofsted Registered childminder and qualified Primary School teacher from the Southsea area of Portsmouth. At my last inspection I was rated "Good" with "Outstanding" in Prime areas..
I offer a welcoming and professional childcare service within a home from home environment.
My setting is warm and friendly. I have a good range of toys and offer excellent learning experiences, both indoors and on regular outings. I have a purpose built playroom; equipped with crafts, reading area, cosy areas, role-play, kitchen area, changing and toileting area. This dedicated play space gives children access to wide range of activities; including art and making, music, cooking, imaginary play, sensory play and so on. I'm a keen gardener, so children get to be involved in lots of activities in the garden and at my nearby allotment; including growing plants and harvesting fruit and vegetables. I enjoy helping children learn through the outdoors and experiencing the Natural World. They are provided with first-hand experiences both inside and out. They learn about embracing nature and sustainability.
I have several pets, with whom the children love interacting; including two docile and friendly dogs, named Poppy and Maisie. I also have a beautiful tropical aquarium for the children to enjoy within the playroom.
I complete daily diaries, with live updates and photos, and regular progress reviews for children within the early years.
My setting is a great place for the youngest and older children to enjoy each other's company and learn from each other.
My Experience
I have extensive experience of caring for children, from newborn to teenagers.
I am a qualified primary teacher and have worked with children across the primary age ranges.
My Qualifications
Post Graduate Certificate in Education- qualified primary school teacher. Paediatric first aid training, including EpiPen administration.
First aid qualification.
Up-to-date on safeguarding children.
Food Hygiene
Childminding qualifications.
Public Liability Insurance.
Ofsted/Pacey Registered.
Childminder Car and Household Insurance.
My Availability
I work Monday to Friday 7.00am - 6.00pm as a childminder. I work Wed-Fri with younger pre-school children (aged 0-4 years).
I also offer occasional care and babysitting, by arrangement.
I generally work term time but can sometimes offer care during some of the school holidays, by arrangement; including offering a competitive day-rate for school age children.
I am currently full for younger children but operate a waiting list for parents looking for childcare.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
My fees from Monday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. are £4.50 per hour per child for school age children.
Early Years children (aged 0-4) are charged at £5.00 per hour.
This includes drinks, fruit/snacks and lunch for pre-school children.
The costs involved in our day to day outings are generally included.
I accept tax free childcare payments and offer funded hours for eligible 2,3 and 4 year olds.

My daughter settled very quickly with Becky and loved every minute of her day there. The way my daughter always asked about Becky showed how much she loved attending the setting.
Becky provides a great range of activities and experiences for the children.
I'm very sad my daughter is not attending the setting anymore.
Would highly recommend Becky as a childminder.

Becky is absolutely brilliant, our daughter adores her.
Not only does Becky provide a caring environment but also an educational one, our little girl has learnt a great deal during her time with Becky and always relates an interesting tale of her day when we collect her.
We are hoping Becky will have availability for our second soon, we really couldn’t ask for a better childminder.
