My Summary
About Me
ONE SPACE AVAILABLE FROM MID FEB ‘23
Hello ...
I have an Ofsted overall rating of ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ for Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare.
As a user of childminders myself for my own son, I know how important it is to find the right childminder for your child and you. I have experienced childminding as a parent and completely understand the concerns any parent has when handing over their child to someone else to look after. Because I empathise with your concerns I am committed to making sure your child feels happy, safe and secure in my care at all times.
I believe it’s every parent’s instinct to nurture their children and I treat the children in my care in exactly the same way as I would treat my own. Guided by Ofsted’s Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, which sets standards for learning and development through play, it’s really important for children to learn, notice and take-in what’s going on around them, whether it be in my setting, outside, on outings or through play and reading.
Early years (ages 0-5) is an exceptionally important time for children’s development. They learn and develop very quickly during the first 5 years of life; communication, language, physical development, social skills, behavioural skills. I want to have a positive impact on your child by helping them to learn through play. They will be valued, listened to and supported in their learning and that’s why I have chosen to be in this profession.
A little bit about me … I was born in Walton on Thames, and married with one son. My husband, Paul, is a childminding assistant and helps me with the running of my childminding business.
We live very close to Walton town centre and are only a few minutes walk away from the river, library and 3 parks. The Exel Leisure Centre is a 20 minute walk away and has soft play facilities. Bushy Park is a 15 minute drive away, has a swings and slide area, a sandpit, two separate garden areas to walk around as well as vast areas of parkland to walk through so here are plenty of outside activities close by to enjoy. Children are also taken to soft play centres.
We have a well-maintained and safe garden, with climbing equipment and slide, mud kitchen and other age-appropriate outside toys. Lots of time is spent outside in the garden. We don’t have any pets apart from the odd cat that visits our garden occasionally.
Inside there’s plenty to do - baby toys and other age-appropriate resources, Play Doh, puzzles, drawing, colouring, craft-making, baking, games, books, messy play etc. Children have the use of the whole of the downstairs (and garden) which includes a well-equipped playroom.
I want to offer a home from home experience where your child feels safe, happy and at ease. I completely understand that being a parent and having to juggle work and children can be challenging at the best of times, so I will be as flexible as I can, wherever possible.

Andrea has been amazing for my son for two years, he absolutely enjoyed every moment there from start to finish with lots of interaction, activities of early learning, outdoor learning and provided safe and fun place.
It’s been great easy for us to leave our son when we had to go to work, at the end of the day she provided us with daily detail report and lovely photos.
She is really approachable and understanding of any needs.
Her husband Paul it’s great help,
my son have had amazing relationship with him and we will miss both of them to not to see them every day.
I would highly recommend them to anyone!!
Andrea has taken fabulous care of both of my children. My son from the age of 4months old - 2.5years and my daughter from 6months old -2.5years.
Both children loved going to Andrea's and often ask to go back even now at 7years and 3.5years.
Andrea's setting is a happy, safe place with lots of different age appropriate activities for each child.
Andrea is approachable, friendly and immediate made my children and myself feel at ease when in her setting.
Andrea provides daily updates with photos and key points such as food intake, number of nappies, length of naps etc.
We were very sad when the time came to move the children onto pre reception classes.
I highly recommend Andrea's setting to any one seeking a childminder.
My son started with Andrea in January 2021.
He absolutely loved going and enjoyed his 2 years there.
Andrea provides a loving, happy safe place for the children she looks after. She organises a great variety of activities each day and provides parents with a daily update of photographs and key information.
I felt very at ease leaving my son on the very first day and was sad to leave in September 2022.
I wouldn't hesitate and would trust no one more than Andrea to look after any of my future children.

Thank you so much Leanne for your time to respond and for your positive comments. We miss all our children once they move on and I’m so glad Rory has settled in well at preschool.
My son joined Andrea in January 2021 at aged 11 months and we feel so blessed to have found her. My little one loves going to the setting, we have never had a single tear at drop off! He is always welcomed with open arms and a big warm smile.
Andrea’s house is a home away from home environment. It's always clean and child friendly, there are so many toys and activities for him to do each day, from painting, colouring, cars, building blocks, bowling to messy play, sand play and water play in warmer weather. He regularly goes on adventures to the woods, Bushy Park, the playground and to various soft plays; he is so lucky to have such a fun day, every day!
Andrea and Paul feed him lovely nutritious meals and keep to his nap schedule. They always keep him safe and clean and have gone above and beyond to look after him and help him to learn and grow. I get daily updates and photos about his day and it makes me so happy to see him thrive with Andrea.
Both of my children were ‘full time’ at Andrea’s from the age of one until nearly school age ( and my youngest is still there). I was looking for a home from home environment, and as soon as I met Andrea and saw her setting I felt that she was a very lucky find.
Andrea really cares for the children, and takes her role very seriously in supporting their well-being and development. She has a lovely playroom and garden, and the children spend lots of time playing outside when the weather is good, which I really like. They also go out most days to playgrounds or soft play or to feed the ducks which gives lots of variety and exercise. Andrea is always thinking of new places to go or activities to do - we get lots of pictures and crafts coming home. There is also lots of reading and learning which really helped set up my elder child for school.
I pay a little extra for lunch and dinner and Andrea provides a much greater variety of food than I do at home (!) and the children are encouraged to try new things, if they want to. And to learn independence with eating and drinking.
We always look forward to our daily What’s App update with lots of photos each day of what they get up to.
My daughters have very different temperaments and their individuality and routines have been met really well and seemingly effortlessly. Both of them have really loved Andrea’s and have thrived there.
