About Me

Dear Family,

My name is Gemma and I am a creative individual with 10 years experience working with children in education, the care industry and the arts. I have vast experience working with children who have learning difficulties and also have worked with a diverse ethnic background.

I grew up on the Channel Islands. This time gave to me a great education and outlook on life. I am well spoken and well traveled with a keen interest in my hobbies, work, friends and family.

I enjoy creativity in all its forms, travelling, and out door activities. I live in Stevenston and am happy to travel throughout Ayrshire for work. The distance I'm able to travel will depend on the number of nannying hours available.

My approach to working with children is to create a fun and safe atmosphere for the young ones to enjoy. I have a wealth of experience in creating such an atmosphere while keeping a structure of routine in place. I like to ensure outdoor activities and educational activities are focused upon.

I have experience working with a varied age range of children and young people, who come from different cultural backgrounds and whom all have varied needs. I have worked with children facing a range of conditions, including but not limited to autism, mental health challenges, and physical disabilities, among others.

With a mindful and holistic approach to my work I am able to create positive friendships and bonds with the young people and children I have cared for.
