My Requirements

We're looking for a fun, energetic, before-and-after-school nanny for our 7-year old son, with a view to full-time hours over school holiday periods. He is going to a local prep school, and it is an easy scoot or bike ride from our house.

During term time, the hours are 7.30 till 8.30 for school drop off, and 3.50 or 5 pm for pick up, from Monday to Friday - staying till 6.30. We could handle Monday and Friday dropoffs ourselves, so there is some flexibility there if that's helpful. Supervising homework and piano practice, making sure showers are had and bags/kit are packed for the next day - standard stuff, really. A park trip if time allows would also be great.

During school holidays, we need someone with energy, a wide range of interests and a lot of ideas about how to keep them off the dreaded screens! We have memberships at Kew Gardens and the Wetland Centre, we love Hyde Park, Battersea Park and Richmond Park, we enjoy the museums at South Ken, the odd art exhibition, going to plays and trampoline parks, roller skating, ice skating, swimming - the list is endless! We’d like someone who can drive (but this isn't necessarily a deal-breaker). We would be happy to insure on our car if you don't have one of your own.

We would also like someone who is happy to do a bit of laundry (washing machine to tumbledryer and folding what doesn't need to be ironed), and also someone who can prepare healthy and nutritious after school snacks, and be comfortable preparing a simple, tasty family dinner - decent cooking skills are a must (we are committed omnivores, in case that’s important to you, and we enjoy a wide range of cuisines).

Our last nanny was with us for nearly 4 years, so I think we're a decent lot, and the boys are a real joy to be around. If this sounds like something that would suit you, please get in touch.
