About Me
My name is Jo and I am a qualified Early Years teacher and an Ofsted registered childminder at Jo's Childminding, in the Ore area of Hastings.
Ofsted rated Outstanding January 2020.
I offer childcare in a home from home environment, with plenty of activities and outings for children from birth to 5 years.
I love being out and about, taking the children on visits to various places in and around our area. I enjoy spending time with the children exploring the local woodland and local activities and events.
I live with my partner Justin and our children aged 10 to 21 years.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since February 2011.
I have managed and taught in a nursery whilst completing my Early Years Teacher Training. I also have a BA (Hons) degree in Early Years.
I have previously worked at a primary schools as a Individual Needs Assistant and a teaching assistant with various year groups, including in the reception class, specialising in Speech and Language.
Ofsted inspection in June 2016, as no children were on roll at the time I received a 'needs met' grading. Previous to this, my inspection in 2011 was graded as Outstanding.

My Availability
I offer childcare for children aged 5 years and under.
I do not drop off and collect from schools/preschools
My typical hours of work are 8am to 5pm Monday to Wednesday and term-time only Friday 8am to 5pm
I do not work on Thursdays.

Jo has looked after my daughter since she was 5 months old. She is very settled with Jo (Jo-Jo as she affectionately calls her). Jo has a very good relationship with all her charges and takes an active interest in each child as an individual. We have been impressed from day one as to the high standards of care Jo gives. Most importantly, there is a real feeling that Jo thoroughly enjoys her job and provides regular feedback with newsletters, daily books and learning journeys which truly reflect your child. I love looking through the daily diary hearing what my daughter has been playing with etc. Highly recommend Jo!
