My Experience

I've been childminding for over 25 years now and have looked after a range of children during this time! In addition to minding I'm also a mother!

I also worked for 15 years for Zurich assurance in Swindon, and for 5 years of that time I was myself using a childminder - so I know what it feels like to be the parent placing their child in a childminding setting. I also understand and appreciate the constraints of being a working parent and I've been told that my flexibility is the key to my service!

I have been rated as Good by Ofsted, and also have excellent references from all my parents. I adhere to the EYFS at all times and use my knowledge of this to bring out the best in the children I look after.

All my children receive a regular assessment which follows the EYFS guidelines and I also produce a learning journey on all the children in my care. Everyone has their own learning journey and individual assessment books.

All of my children who have stayed with me until the transition to school, have reached all their EYFS targets and we have been told by Reception teachers that they "have thrived in a lovely small environment."

I also undertake regular training, in terms of welfare, safeguarded and child protection issues.

I also am trained in providing Communication with Phonics, Safeguarding through Sport, Emergency First Aid at Work and the obligatory First Aid for Children qualification.

My Availability

I work 5 days a week from 7.30 till 5.30 most days, with the exception of Wednesdays and Fridays which are a 5.15pm & 5pm finish respectively. I also have lots of experience providing care for parents who work shifts or term time only. In the event of term time only cover, I will provide a specific term time only contract with no retainer paid during the school holidays.

I do not work on Fridays during the School Holidays although I can be flexible if it is needed.

My Fees

• Childminding from £4.00 per hour

Please contact me for specific details relating to my current fees. If I am on holiday/ill, there is no fee payable and if you/the child are on holiday or are ill, then 50% of the fee is payable.

I can also offer specific term time and holiday only contracts - please contact me for more information.

We also offer Funded Hours for 52 weeks of the year & not just for the 38 wks of Termtime - we offer Funded Hours on a Stretched Basis throughout all the Funded Blocks.

We provide Funded Hours throughout everyday without any restrictions or any additional costs - you will not receive an Invoice for consumables or hours not covered by Funded Hours.
