About Me
My name is Vicki, I am Ofsted registered, fully qualified in childcare and a member of the professional association for children & early years (Pacey). I live with my husband Daniel, my son Oliver who is 21 and my cat. I also have a daughter Jessica who is 24 and a cheeky 2 year old grandson.
I have worked in a nursery for nearly 9 1/2 years as the cook and 8 of those running the after-school and holiday club which I enjoyed very much but I recently decided to to work for myself and set up my own small club.
I run a small after school and holiday club in my family home, I collect from Lunsford and Brookfield schools. I have an open plan layout which helps me to provide the children with a choice of activities, whether they want to do arts and crafts, play a board game while another wants to bake etc I am able to supervise and support the children at all times as we are in one room together. I enjoy doing arts and crafts with the children and love nothing more than to see children safe, happy and learning while they play. It is a very homely atmosphere and I treat the children as part of my extended family while they are in my care.
I have a large safe and enclosed garden with lots to do. There is a climbing frame with swings, climbing wall and playhouse. I also have a mud kitchen, scooters and my own veggie patch which I encourage the children to help me with and if they grow successfully hopefully the children can pick their own to cook with.
For after school club I provide an afternoon snack and a homemade cooked tea.
For holiday club I provide breakfast, morning snack, an afternoon snack and a homemade cooked tea. I ask the parents to provide a healthy pack lunch for their child.
A drinking station is available at all times.
Myself, husband and son are all dbs checked. I am fully qualified in childcare and I am first aid trained.
My aim is to provide a home for home environment and a safe fun learning experience. I will work closely with the parents to provide the best possible care for their child and their child’s individual needs.
My Experience
Apart from bringing up my own 2 lovely children, I have always looked after friends and family’s children. I have always been around babies and children since I was a teenager. My home was always open to my children bringing their friends round and it would normally be a full house. I am a caring person. I have worked in a nursery for nearly 10 years and was part of the management team.

Vicki is an amazing after school care provider. It is a home from home for my children. Vicki provides delicious home cooked meals and has more toys and activities for the children than toys are us! My once nervous child has come on leaps and bounds with vicki and i would highly recommend her to anyone looking for afterschool care. My youngest who again is nervous and shy is looking forward to coming to vickis in september so much! Thank you vicki for treating all the children with care and respect. 5 stars!!!!
