About Me
Hi, i am an Ofsted registered child minder and have been caring for children for over 10 years. I have been rated as good by Ofsted. I have an assistant who works with me. She is also Ofsted registered.
We understand the importance of play and being active so we ensure children play outside everyday. In the school holidays I tend to plan day trips. These trips have included the Natural history, science and hornimum museuems, regularly visiting local parks to feed the ducks.
We are situated on a quiet street in a residential area. On street parking is available. The nearest bus stop (60,118) and train station (Streatham common) is less than a five minute walk away.
My setting has been adapted to a nursery environment i.e childrens chairs and tables,pictures,posters and childrens work displays. The children have access to a 60ft garden which has been fully equipped with toys and play equipment such as bicycles, slides, and a trampoline.
My Experience
I believe every child is a unique individual with their own characteristics and temperament. Babies and children mature at different rates and different times in their lives. Early relationships strongly influence how children develop and having close relationships with their carers is very important. I understand that children need a lot of attention and must have their individual needs met. I ensure that each child is treated equally and that activities set are based around their interests. I aim to work with parents and other carers to care for children in a clean, safe and loving environment where everyone feels valued.
Having manners and showing respect towards each other and the environment will be emphasised. We aim to provide a quality, caring environment where standards are high , independence can be developed and where there is a wealth of learning opportunities both structured and flexible, to help children to achieve their goals and promote their self-esteem.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified childminder, with CRB checks, and current certificates in first aid and safeguarding. I have a CYPW Level 3 Dipoloma in Childcare.
My Availability
I am available 7.30 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday.
We pick up and drop off to several schools in the area.
Mainly Granton primary school, Woodmansterne primary school, St Andrews primary school.
