I am a first time mum to a baby boy. I am looking to work with a family who are happy for him to be with me on shift.
My Experience
I was the birthing partner twice to my sisters labours. From June 2019 to February 2020 - I helped everyday since my nephew was born. Changing nappies, feeding him, having him solely for hours to 2days at a time. Helping him with his development, playing, sorting activities, taking him to appointment and weigh ins. I learned so much during this period living with my sister as a first time mum and living with a child 24/7, seeing all the ups and downs that come with a little one of his age.
OTHER Experiences:

- Making them breakfast/lunch/dinner
- Youngest girl, put on nappy for nap time during the day
- Took them to the park, soft play centre, played at home, arts & crafts activities, read stories
From March-June 2017: (On going support to this family)
Part time nanny to a little boy who was 13months old when I started.
The following were my duties:
- Morning/Evening bath
- Feeding him breakfast/dinner
- Keeping his room and kitchen clean
- Drop off and pick up from nursery

Other experience:
Ever since my bronze DofE doing six months of volunteering at my local Day Nursery I knew working with children was the career I wanted. I started an apprenticeship at the same nursery for 3 months, but had to pull out due to wanting to learn to drive and pay for a car - I couldn't do this on an apprentice wage sadly.
Spent an additional few months at a different nursery (still with Acorn Day Nursery as the company is great) as part of my College course.
I have personal experience with neurodivergent (Autistic) children, one being my brother and the other my best friends little boy. I am comfortable if they are non-verbal and feel I understand the personal needs by reading their unique expressions.
To conclude, I have worked in and out of nurseries and have always been surrounded by children and have always done babysitting for my god-sister.

Jess looked after my two autistic children this weekend and was brilliant, thank you! She was really helpful and friendly, I felt reassured by her past experience. I would definitely book again and highly recommend.
