About Me
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education Studies and PGCE in Primary teaching. I love working with children and seeing that 'light bulb moment'. I have worked with children since I was 16 years old and love that no day is the same. I love what I do along with travelling and experiencing different cultures and thought processes. I am a sociable and enthusiasitic person who loves to learn new things about myself and in general as well as teach.
I must also mention I am allergic to dogs, so unfortunately I will be unable to work in a household where there are dogs.
My Experience
I have been a primary school teacher for 11 years and have been a private tutor for 8 years. This is my third year teaching year 4 and I was previously teaching year 3 (2 years). I am also, currently the mental health and wellbeing lead at my school. I have also taught year 2(2 years), year 1 (1 year) and reception (3 years) as well as being the Early Year Co-ordinater. I have tutored a range of children with different education and physical needs so understand the importantance of a varied approach to teaching to ensure all children can access the curriculum.
My Qualifications
I have 10 GCSE's and 3 A-Levels in English Literature, ICT and Sociology. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education Studies from Birmingham City University and I have a PGCE in Primary teaching.
My Availability
I am offering online tutoring sessions for £25 an hour using Zoom or face to face tuiton at £30 an hour.
I am available to work some weekday evenings and Saturday. If needed I may be available during school holiday as well.
I am also available for some babysitting in the evening, weekend and school holidays.
