After giving birth (to my first child) going back to work was so nerve-racking. All the what ifs were soring through my mind constantly as time wind down for my return to work.
Safehands Childminding was recommended to me by a friend who knew 2 person who had previously used their services. So I went away and did my research contact the owner and set up a viewing ASAP.
After my first visit to the setting I was so happy, not only was the environment clean, safe, stimulating and secure the owner was welcoming, lovely to talk to and understanding. Straight away all my boxes were ticked.
My son was supposed to start safehands Childminding May 2020 at 9 months old. However, due due to Covid-19, he ended up starting in September 2020 when he was one years old (Due to a delay in my return to work).
And believe me when I say my son settled in easily and he is very happy to go there everyday.
Now is February 2021 and I must say my son has made such an immense progress it's unbelievable. I thank Aunty D and the staff team for all their effort and dedication with my son thus far. He is excelling in all areas of development; he can count, he knows his fruits, he loves messy play, he is so keen on mark making and he loves building blocks.
I am ever so grateful I was able to find such an amazing HOME AWAY FROM HOME Childminding Service for my son.
I can go to work and feel relaxed knowing he his in a safe, stimulated environment with loving people to nurture him. ONE THING I LOVE ABOUT YOUR SERVICE IS THE LITTLE UPDATES I WILL RECEIVE THROUGHOUT THE DAY ABOUT MY SON Via (pictures and videos).
THANK YOU SAFEHANDS CHILDMINDING FOR PROVIDING US WITH SUCH A RELIABLE AND PROFESSIONAL CHILD SERVICE!!!! WE REALLY DO APPRECIATE YOU GUYS.
PS. I CAN HAVE ANOTHER CHILD, KNOWING I DON'T EVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CHILDCARE 😇😊🙃💞
My little boy started at Safehands in October 2020 when he was 11 months old. I was particularly nervous about the settling process as we couldn't go into the setting with him due to covid restrictions. However, Aunty D and her assistants did everything they could to alleviate my concerns. They connected me with other parents who had been through the same process and took the settling in slowly. As it turns out their approach meant that my little boy settled relatively quickly and absolutely LOVES his time at Safehands. The team are so passionate about the children and create a lovely family-feeling, yet educational setting. My little boy is thriving there and I feel so assured while at work that he is being taken excellent care of and is probably having a far better time than at home! Aunty D is also fantastic at communicating with the parents - we receive daily updates as well as regular photos and videos of the different activities my son is participating in. She has also provided general guidance and support to me around areas that I was uncertain about such as switching milks, feeding etc. We would all be lost without her and her team and can't recommend them highly enough!
Our son started at Safehands when he was 10 months old in October 2019 and I went back to work part time. The settling in period was at my son's pace and he had ample time to slowly aclimatise to being in the setting. From day one, we have had zero concerns when dropping him off at the door! Big smiles as he starts the day and we know he is truly loved and cared for when he's there. Big smiles on picking him up too. He eats wonderful home cooked meals (which I believe has contributed to him being a really good eater) and is in a great routine, having his naps and exploring and playing with age appropriate toys and activities. He in encouraged to explore and do things for himself (like take his own shoes off at the door - his new skill!) And his language has really developed. We get updates most days with pictures and videos of all the fun and learning. The other children are his friends and are all really lovely. We are so grateful to have a safe, nurturing and trustworthy home away from home to send our son 4 days a week. The pandemic has been a real challenge this year, but even when childcare was not possible, we were in regular contact and did some facetime activities. Our son was so happy to be back recently! Thank you Safehands for everything :)
With my profression being in a nursery setting itself finding childcare for my son was stressful. Then we came across this lovely profile and myself and my husband were left very intrigued to find out more.
Aunty D was easy to contact and answered all our queries. It was easy to arrange a interview and a show around her enviornment. She made us feel so at ease understood our concerns and anxiety, she sees it all the time and knew exactly how to deal with it. We knew from that meeting she was the best person to take care of our son.
The settling process was nerve wracking but she took it in our stride so we were comfortable. But thankfully on the first day our then 11 month old son couldnt wait to see the back of me and was pretty much closing the door as he was waving bye. In my childcare experience this is always a good sign so really left me at ease from a parent perspective. What was lovely was Aunty D arranged the settling around the time frame I had left before I went back to work so it started gradually but at my sons pace and it turned out he was very resilient and coped well being away from us. This made me settling back to work so much easier as I found myself not worrying about how our son was doing. Aunty D sent photos and videos throughout the day and I could see he generally was a happy chappy.
As mentioned previously our son has been attending Safehands since he was 11 months old. He has loved every day being there with all the fun activities and learning Aunty D sets up every day. She kept us parents in the loop with the learning plans and what the children will be focusing on. The group chat with the other parents is so fun as we receive videos and photos of the children playing together and its always a great way to see what they are up to. It also has formed good relationships with the other parents too.
Im always left very surprised with my sons progress and wisdom, he is such a fun loving boy with such a happy personality and although they say thats good parenting, I really do think it is the influence of the childcare setting around him. Aunty D is such a warm, happy, person and has the biggest heart her morals, mannerisms rubs off on the children.
Unfortunately, we have had to move out of the area due to the ridiculous house prices we couldnt afford to buy around the area. As parents we wanted our son to stay with his friends and with Aunty D. We travelled everyday in the morning and evening for an hour sometimes over an hour but it didnt work for us as a family. We have had to leave Safehands and I have to tell you this was not the easiest decision to make because the care we receive as a family is first class. Our son is 3 years old now and has transitioned into a new childcare environment with so much confidence and with so much support from Aunty D. He is now in a nursery environment and Aunty D has prepared him for that transition and made it a breeze for our son to settle. The staff at the nursery are very impressed with his progress in his learning, how well he socialises with other children and adults and his independence.
So parents if you are looking for First class childcare I truly recommend Safehands. You wont be disappointed with the nurturing, stimulating, welcoming love and care your child will receive more importantly with what you will receive as a family.
Our son started with Safehands in June 2018 when I returned to work full time. The settling in experience was superb, from our first meeting we knew our son would be cared for and his development encouraged through play. Each term we look forward to hearing about the elements of the early learning curriculum the kids will be covering and what books he brings home in his much loved book bag.
Safehands has created a wonderful setting for the children to develop in a safe, educational and enjoyable environment. The home cooked food provided by Safehands is great with a focus on healthy eating. With Grandparents in another country our son's relationship with all at Safehands has been very important, he has built such a strong relationship with his childminder and assistants because they are caring and nurturing and take an interest in his development. Last month my 9 month old daughter started with Safehands and it was a great settling in period for her. We are also delighted that she’s so tired from having so much fun she started sleeping through the night for the first time!
My son runs up to the door every morning excited to see his childminder, assistants and friends and my daughter beams with joy when she is handed over. We are delighted Safehands will be continuing to care for our kids in the upcoming year, and that the team has become such an important part of our family.
Safehands has been the most reliable and professional childcare service we have experienced, being parents of 3 children. As experienced parents we were very cautious about leaving our youngest in full-time childcare. However, any doubts were immediately removed from the first encounter until today. Over the years Safehands has provided care and supported our children's development to a high standard. Most importantly this was done in a safe and caring environment complimented with a smile and encouraging parenting advice. Our child was always happy and contented and was stimulated through creative play, social interactions, reading, music, art and a healthy and yummy menu of food. If we were to expand our family Safehands would always be our number one choice. Thank you for everything.

Dear Dee Dee,
Thank you for your kind words. I am encouraged. As the popular quote reads “There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.” — ...
My aim as always is to try to give every child I care for the best opportunity.
Thanks again for trusting my care.
I will see the young man over the holidays I am sure.
Working in the childcare profession myself, I was very particular in my preferences about who would be taking care of my child while I was at work. Safehands level of professionalism as well as her caring and nurturing demeanour won me over from the outset.
Needless to say, over the years as my family grew, my three children were all booked into her setting.
She has provided my children with delicious home -cooked meals, some of which I have had the honour of sampling myself. The planning for the month is in line with their development and feedback about their activities are provided on a daily basis through messages, videos and through verbal communication. My youngest child is currently still in the setting and despite being there for quite some time still gets excited in the mornings to go there. She is caring and understanding and it's a huge plus that my children enjoy being around her even the older ones who have now graduated from her service.
I would highly recommend her services and for all three of my children to have been there for a period stretching way over ten years and still going, says a lot about all the things she is doing right.
Leaving our first child with anyone was a very anxious thing for us to do. We wanted to make sure that whoever looked after our son had extensive experience in looking after very young children, had the same values as us and whose home felt like home. Safehands shares all those qualities plus more! From home cooked food to structured plans for each child’s development. Parents are kept informed with the theme of the month and encouraged to work with their child on it at home. Worried about missing your little one during the day? Don’t worry Safehands will send you a photo of what they have been up to that day. All this coupled with the professionalism, care and genuine love is the reason why we would highly recommend Safehands’ service to anyone seeking amazing childcare.
My husband and I are absolutely delighted with the care our son receives at Safehands. Returning to work when my son was a year was an anxious time for me and Safehands made it so much easier knowing my son was going to a such kind and loving environment, a real home from home. The professionalism at Safehands is also impressive; immaculate paperwork and structured plans for the children’s development, all with plenty of communication with the parents. We have a great relationship with the childminder and build on as much of the learning at home as we can. My son has so much fun and clearly loves the childminder and I’m so happy we have found them for our childcare! We feel very lucky.
After a year off work for maternity i decided in a career change and return to university, this whole experience was made easier by choosing a childminder that gave me peace of mind. Safehands gave me the reassurance I needed, always updating me throughout the day with pictures, messages and is possible video calls. My daughter settled with no problem. She was one years old then and now 6 months on runs up the path to the door and almost closes It in my face before I get to say bye, this shows me how much she loves Safehands. As well as her A class caring for my daughter I cannot forget to mention how jealous of the meals my daughter has throughout the day, most evenings she is so full she can just about manage her bedtime milk. My daughter is blossoming into a very bright, polite and confident little girl with a well structured routine which has been supported by Safehands. Forever grateful

Dear WjW,
What can I say? Your little, now getting much bigger girl has left an indelible mark. She has no doubt created some unforgettable memories not only for herself but for us her carers and also for the other children in the setting. It is such a pleasure working with your family. Thanks again for entrusting your little diamond in my care.
Much appreciation.
