About Me
Hi, My name is Kirsty and I have a 30 year career working with children predominantly as a nanny currently caring in a live in capacity for B4, G3 and G8m. I have an enthusiasm for something that I do extremely well and enjoy in particular the relationships you build with the children you care for and the impact that you have on their lives as well as the holistic nature of the learning that comes from nannying. Having been put in the position of looking for a new role I have thought a lot about what it means to me. Most of my previous roles in the North East were daily roles offering the opportunity to develop my sole charge care but my move to London (which was always planned but took a while predominantly for the need to find work in the first instance and then the commitment to that family) has enabled me to thrive. I love live in! I love that my nanny work is now full on!!! I love being involved with the family but also know how to give them space as it is as much about me having my space too and I have the maturity to know how to do this. I love that when I come down at the weekend to go out for shopping or a coffee the children say 'Yay, Kirsty' and expect a story or a cuddle. I also love getting to know extended family too and I feel that travel and proxy parenting becomes easier when you already live in. I have become very involved in my current role and have done proxy, shared, and sole care, stayed with extended family, travelled with the family to second homes (and with the children on my own). I am reliable, discrete, trustworthy, organised and very flexible. I am very calm and patient which rubs off very neatly on to the children and am a firm believer In routine and consistency
My Experience
Qualified to level 7 with BA Honours in Primary Teaching Studies and over 30 years’ experience working as a qualified nanny with children aged between 0 and 8, including new-born care, teaching (homework, SAT revision, early reading and writing, phonics), weaning, home cooking, potting training, establishing and maintaining routines, boundaries and discipline, sleep training, and planning age appropriate play, play dates,school runs and afterschool activities, shared care, sole charge, proxy parenting, travel, wardrobe management. Recent fussy eating and baby weaning courses.

My Availability
I am currently working as a live in nanny in Clapham, London . I have already been given notice as my family are relocating abroad on the 8th August but can leave earlier with 4 weeks notice.
