My daughter Ella started with Auntie Barbara when she was 6 months old. She was very attached, didn’t like going to any other women and was a terrible eater. Within two weeks, Ella was going to everyone and eating absolutely everything.
We couldn’t be more pleased with the care and love she is given by Barbara and the team and would recommend to anyone. Rare to find someone so warm, caring and genuinely passionate about each and every child.

Barbara is caring, loving and is passionate about children as well as being highly experieinced. My little princess woo woo absolutely loved going there and was looked after in a way that she felt at home and never once worried about me leaving her there. Barbara has helped the children in her care feel loved, secure and well fed!! My little one eats anything and I credit Barbara's cooking and encouragement. She treats all her kids like they were her own grandchildren. She was flexible and rarely said no! She has hired good staff who carry the loving ethos Barbara exudes. She has boundless energy and any parent can be secure in the knowledge that their precious ones will be safe and have loads of fun!! Barbara goes the extra mile, even putting on a birthday party for my little one.
It is truly a home away from home!

Barbara genuinely cares for children . She has a warm heart..takes on board all you request and gives care second to none. Lily and Sarah are just amazing too...my son had so much fun every day when he was there. Its quite rare to meet such childminders...

We originally put our little boy in with Barbara temporarily one summer while his usual childminder was closed for the holidays. But upon meeting her and seeing her facilities, - I knew that he was going back to his childminder!
Barbara she was so lovely and reassuring and helped settle in our little one quickly and gently. He soon loved to go each day.
Barbara and her amazing staff, especially Sara and Lilly Rose, were incredible to B. They were so nurturing and kind. His development came on leaps and bounds, and he grew in confidence into such a self-assured little boy.
His days were always filled with fun activities, and Barbara encouraged his love of football and reading. She also provided healthy and delicious homemade meals.
I can’t thank Barbara enough for her wonderful care of B for the 1.5 years he was with her, and we miss sending him there, but thanks to her, he is ready to conquer the world!

Barbara and her staff went above and beyond from day 1 to make my son’s settling in as easy as possible for both him and I.
She would frequently let me know how his day was going. Nothing I requested was too much effort for Barbara and her staff (including sticking to a strict non dairy diet).
Barbara’s flexible hours allowed us to drop off and collect around our work schedules. She was always able to accommodate our needs. This flexibility took a lot of pressure from us.
The staff were warm and nurturing.
I couldn’t thank Barbara enough and was very sad when we had to move on.

Barbara and her wonderful team has been a god send to us! We approached Barbara after having quiet traumatic experiences with our previous child minders; it broke our heart to see our very happy and sociable baby become traumatised, withdrawn and extremely clingy due to the previous experiences. We were at a breaking point, and I could not return to work.
Every time we went to meet another child minder the thought of leaving our child with another stranger and history repeating itself was gut wrenching, we found aunty Barbara purely by chance, and when we went to meet her, Barbara was very welcoming, we felt at ease straight away she made us feel at home and answered all our questions introduced all her team which put our fears to rest, to our amazement our little one who would not even shift an inch from us started roaming around her nursery and played with her and all the toys.
The settling in days helped our little one to get familiar with the environment and the team. We were still very anxious starting full time, little one cried for the first few days but settled very quickly with the one to one support, lots of hugs and cuddles from everyone and within couple of weeks was looking forward to going to Aunty Barbara’s every morning! We received lots of videos, photos and regular phone calls with updates during the first few weeks which put our minds at rest.
Our little one started having a steady weight gain putting back all the weight that was lost, stop being ill, nappy rash and broken skin was a history under Barbara’s care. Slowly the clinginess improved and little one started interacting, we could invite people home and visit friends and family which we could not do before.
I was able to return to work full time within a few weeks of us starting with Barbara. Even now we get updates about the day when we pick up and get videos and photos on a regular basis which lightens up our day!
Our little one is thriving in Barbara and her lovely assistants especially Sarah and Lily Rose’s care, and has become a confident, independent, happy child who continues to learn a lot from the wide variety of activities on offer.
There are no words to describe how grateful we are to Barbara and her team…. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts!
Keep up the great work Team Barbara!!!!

Barbara has been looking after my son since he turned one and I went back to work full time in 2015.
At first I was a bit hesitant as a first time mummy to leave my son in the hands of a stranger, however that all changed from the moment I met her…she made us feel very welcome and arranged for my son to have some settling in sessions about a month or so before he started, this way he slowly got accustomed to his new surroundings, and from day one I could see that this was a good choice I had made.
She encouraged him to start walking and talking. My son was a late starter in both and I could see from the reports that she was helping him to achieve this, I have to say that since my son has been going to Barbara’s he has grown into a wonderful little person and has learnt a lot from her.
It’s nice to receive regular updates on how he is getting on as this puts my mind at ease. Barbara and her staff are wonderful and take pride in what they do.
Overall, I would highly recommend Barbara to any of my family and friends and I couldn’t of wished for anyone better to look after my son.

As a first time mum, the thought of anyone other than close family looking after my little boy filled me with dread! This all changed when I found Barbara.
Barbara and her team are absolutely wonderful. They are so caring and accommodating and treat my family like their family. My little boy loves being there and enjoys doing so many lovely things. He is really thriving there and seems to be coming home every day with new words and fantastic pieces of art work or things they have baked with the children.
It has made such a difference to me knowing that he is so happy at Barbara's. I am so grateful to Barbara, Lily-Rose and Sarah for looking after my little boy and being so nurturing and kind to him. They know him so well and he really loves them!
Thank you so much Barbara, Lily-Rose and Sarah - I honestly don't know what I would do without you all. You're amazing, you work so hard and the children in your care are thriving!

It has been a blessing finding barabra and her team, I unfortunately had very bad experiences with 3 different nurseries prior to finding barabra through childcare.co.uk. The moment I met barabra I knew my children will be in safe loving hands. Barabra welcomes everyone in with open arms and has such a lovely home set nursery, my children settled with barabra immediately once they started with her. Barabra and her team Lily-Rose and sarah are amazing with all the children under their care. You can see instantly they love their jobs and adorable all children under their care. Barabra supports and works with all parents to ensure all children progress, her caring nature puts my mind at ease knowing my children are safe and provided the best care possible, all the parents know each other which makes such a nice family environment. Barabra and her team always sends videos and messages keeping parent abreast with their children day to day activities, barabra has an amazing layout for children to be kept occupied, I have seen my children blossom and finally be settled under barabra and her teams care. Barabra goes above and beyond to ensure all children and parents are happy, her hours are flexible which helps a lot for working parents as we all know it can be a very daunting experience finding childcare with suitable hours around work. Barabra is extremely qualified, you can see all her certificates around her home, barabra is an open book she is very transparent with all parents. She sticks to any routine you may have currently in place or any new routines you may wish to implement. Children are fed fresh meals and snacks throughout the day and are involved in a variety of educational activities. There is both indoor and outdoor fun games for all the children to be involved in. Barabra and the team also embrace all celebrations from all cultures and religions which I think a beautiful thing. I am glad I found barabra and her team, they regain my faith and trust in childcare service. They are always smiling and all have a positive attitude. Thank you barabra, Lily-Rose and Sarah you are a wonderful strong unit. Love you all xx

I was let down massively with childcare the day I was due back to work after my maternity leave! I found Barbara on the childcare site a week later and I am so so so glad I was let down in the first place.
Her flexibility enabled me to return to work with no problems. My son immediately took to her and was so excited to arrive every morning. It was home from home.
Her home based nursery has excellent facilities, she provides healthy and tasty meals and is so caring towards the children, she treats them as if they are her own.
Not only does she provide a caring and safe environment but my son has also learnt so much since being in her care. She really understands the different stages of child development and I have seen this first hand in my own son. When my son was trying to take his first steps Barbara made sure she recorded it and sent me the video. She always keeps you updated day to day.
I highly recommend Barbara to anyone who is looking for a child carer. She is like family.
