About Me
Fully experienced Dyslexia/SEND Specialist Teacher and Diagnostic Assessor. Qualified to teach and assess learners of all ages and abilities from Early Years to Primary and SEN KS3. Registered member with the British Dyslexia Association. Specific teaching programs are designed to individual needs and suitable for all children with or without a diagnosis of dyslexia or other special educational needs.
All teaching programs are structured, cumulative, and multi-sensory to support learner's individual learning style.
Over 25 years of teaching learners from Early Years/Reception to KS3. Professionally qualified to nationally recognised standard PG SpLD L7/L5 (Dyslexia) Teaching and Assessment. Fully insured and with Enhanced DBS which is renewed every year.
Contracted to schools for individual diagnostic assessment and teaching. Recommended tutor for Local Offer arrangements. Holder of Enhanced DBS which is automatically updated annually on the LovalGovt Update service.
My Experience
Professionally trained SEN teacher with over 25 years experience in teaching all learners with or without a learning difficulty. Taught in a number of different settings including Primary and Secondary schools and PRU units. Contract teaching to small groups and 1 to 1, for specific interventions at schools and Govt funded 'catch-up' intervention work. Fully trained to deliver Reading Recovery/BRP Reading program, Phonics and Phonological Awareness skills, Unicorn Maths program. Lessons are fully structured, multi-sensory, and sequential in order to promote independent learning and boost students' confidence and self-esteem. Additional provision is offered to individuals with dyspraxic tendencies and difficulties in writing, coordination, and fine/gross motor skills.
Full diagnostic testing assessment services are available for individual students up to age 14 years/ KS3. Please note this is a separate arrangement.

PG Dip. SpLd (Dyslexia), PGCert SpLD AMBDA/APC Teaching and Assessment - Dip.Ed -British Dyslexia Association (BDA) registered/approved.
My Availability
Approved "Specialist Tutor" with BDA (National Tutoring Partnership group) for 1 to 1 and groups of children. Available to schools and privately to provide specialised tuition and 'catch-up' to all vulnerable, SpLD students as identified by the Government National Tutoring Programme. Worthing, Bognor/Littlehampton, and surrounding areas covered.
