About Me
My name is Kellie and I am a 54 year old mum to two daughters age 18 and 20. I am married to Fran and live in Mossley Hill. I have been a stay at home mum for the last 18 years and 8 years ago decided a career in childcare was a passion I wanted to pursue. Since passing my Ofsted registration inspection I now offer wrap around care for 4-11 year olds for Sudley Primary School.
My Experience
As a mum I know how important it is to know that your children are being well looked after in a warm and caring, fun environment; and that I believe is what I can offer at my 'Home from Home' setting. A service where children are picked up from school and brought back to my house to enjoy a nutritious snack and then play with the other children, take part in some crafts or simply relax and unwind after a busy day at school. From April - July weather permitting we visit Sudley Field after school, where the children enjoy a picnic snack and are able to run round in the fresh air and play with their peers.
My Qualifications
I hold current : Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding Certificate, DBS Check, Pacey Level 3 in Homebased Childcare.
Hands on experience of having been a stay at home mum for the past 18 years.
My whole family hold current DBS certificates which are available to check during a visit.
My last Ofsted grade was Met, for those that don’t know and are wondering why this is different from the normal Good, Outstanding, or Requires Improvement Ofsted grades. This is purely because I only offer wrap around care so there were no children present at my setting when the Inspection took place during the day.
My Availability
Monday to Friday from 7.30am - 9.00am
Monday to Friday after school 3.15pm - 5.30pm (though please feel free to speak to me if you have any other requirements).
