About Me
My name is Ruth and my husband, John helps out sometimes. I have been a registered childminder with Care Inspectorate for nearly 10 years now but I have experience dating back as much as 30 years, with a wide range of ages of children.
As a parent myself, I personally know what it is like wanting the best of the best for your children, and I can guarantee I will help you hand in hand with doing that. At Bonny Kinder, my home is your child’s home away from home and I can guarantee that’s what parents/carers as well as the children in my care would tell you that, themselves.
The children in my care experience a wide range of activities and fun, such as: role play, arts and crafts, stories and rhymes, music and dancing, free play, outdoor play and that’s to name a few as we aren’t limited to just this as such. We take full advantage of our garden for outdoor play, going adventures to the shops, museums, the park, libraries, toddler groups and just making the best of every day we can.
My Experience
As stated above in regards to my experience, I’ve learned from being a parent myself. Any questions can be answered through a message, a phone call or even at an initial visit! All qualifications and certificates are on display in my home or can be requested to view.
My Qualifications
Introduction to childminding. Paediatric first aid. Getting it right for every child. Blended childcare. Training and further developments of myself and Bonny Kinder are always ongoing. Autism awareness course
My Availability
My availability is from 8am until 6pm from Monday to Friday. I am also more than willing to accommodate different needs of parents, for example, different hours from the set times but we will not do earlier than 8 or later than 6.

My daughter was with Amy, Ruth (and Johnny!) for a year and it's only due to personal circumstances that our wee one has now finished up at Bonny Kinder. The love and care my daughter received was tremendous. This was my first experience of my child attending a childcare provision and from our visit it was obvious how much my daughter enjoyed the loving home environment.
My daughter was just under 1 when she started and the impact her time with Ruth and Amy has had is clear to see. It was so good for me to be able to leave her in the morning knowing how much she loved being with Amy and Ruth - never once did I leave to tears just waves at the door! A huge benefit to me was the great communication used during the day while I was at work which really made me feel that I wasn't missing out too much while not being with my daughter.
It is evident how much the family enjoy working with the children in their care and go that extra mile to make the children part of a happy and caring unit.
I wish Amy and Ruth all the very best as they take Bonny Kinder from strength to strength, they will always have a special place in our hearts for the great start they have given my daughter.

My Daughter has been with BK for 2 years now and what a happy young girl she is. She is the oldest out of the group but she loves it and has made friends so easy. My daughter is growing from strength to strength and BK has helped her become who she really is with her social and communication skills due to the outings and actives they provide while looking after my daughter. BK is a loving family especially there extended family and nothing is too much trouble for them.

My son has BK for just over a year now and he is growing for gold. The support and encouragement that he receives at BK has meant that his social skills language and personality is blooming. Ruth Amy and the extended family at BK encourage and share strong values and practices that nature the children in there care and regonise each child as an invidual.

My young daughter has been with BKinder for a year and she loves it there. Nothing is too much trouble for them - great communication with parents, and varied and interesting activities for the children.
My daughter loves being involved in socialising with the other children in a safe and homely environment.
