About Me
I am a qualified primary school teacher, and since having my son in September 2023, I work part time at a local school. I have a true passion for working with babies and children and a wealth of experience with children of all ages.
In 2017, I completed a BA Hons degree in Childcare, Teaching and Learning whilst working part time as a teaching assistant. This then lead to me completing my PGCE in 2018 in Primary Education. I have now been a teacher for 6 years. I have been employed within the public education sector for ten years. Having previously lived in France, I am also bilingual.
As a primary school teacher, I have a lot of time and energy for learning, but also understand the importance of play and nurture for a child to fully thrive. Therefore, I thoroughly enjoy following their lead and planning activities around their interests where possible. My previous experience includes various positions working within educational settings (in both state and private schools), 1:1 and small group private tuition, Mother’s help, weekend and evening babysitting, and nannying. I have worked with children from birth-14 years and I am able to relate to children with a diverse range of needs; including various SEND and medical needs maintaining a calm and nurturing temperament.
My Experience
Educationally, I have worked in both public and private schools. I have experience with a variety of age ranges and educational, medical and behavioural needs. I have previously provided additional tuition outside of school for children with special needs and children who are learning english as a foreign language to help them access the curriculum at school.
Previously, I have been a Nanny for families abroad over the summer holidays and as an after school nanny. I have been responsible for children’s daily care between 7am-7pm including bedtime routines, providing their meals each day as well as planning their daily activities over the summer months. I have also been a regular babysitter for local families with children from birth-14 years.
