I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder for 25 years and have a wealth of experience in looking after the under 3s. I am married with 3 beautiful daughters of my own aged 32, 30 and 18 years old. I live in a spacious 4 bedroom house offering a lovely clean, nurturing home from home environment for the children to develop and play. One of my greatest strengths is how I nurture the children. I am very maternal, kind, extremely caring and patient. I strongly believe that young babies and toddlers need this foundation to grow up feeling safe & secure and independent and it is imperative for their emotional well being knowing they have been safe and valued. At my recent Ofsted inspection I was awarded OUTSTANDING in my care of the children with a GOOD in all other areas. I am professional, reliable and an approachable person who is passionate about my business. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac that has easy access to local shops, the lake and a park with all local amenities. I offer a range of toys and equipment to suit all the ages I care for. I have a safe outdoor area with a varied selection of ride on toys, prams and dolls and lovely child friendly play house. I am a very active person and will take the children out every day to toddler groups, soft play, to the park & we have play dates where the children can mix with their peers, sing songs, play instruments and run around to keep active. I celebrate the children's birthdays, Christmas, Easter and Religious Festivals.
I am organised and plan an activity or group to go to every day so the children will be active and sociable. We spend most days with my best friend who is also a childminder, playing with her minded children, in the garden, going to the park, doing crafts etc and learning the basic skills of sharing, manners taking turns & being kind to each other. Many of my little ones have grown up together with her minded children & are now good friends & look forward to seeing them on a daily basis. In term time we go to toddler groups & soft play as regular activities and also go for days out together when the weather is good. These activities I will let you know about in advance so you know where your childis at all times. We have quiet time after lunch where the babies sleep & the older toddlers rest, looking at books, watching an age appropriate movie as wellas enjoying free play. I encourage the children to choose their own activities at times and all toys and books are accessible. I read lots of stories with the children for simple number and letter books for early recognition. I am following the Early Years Foundation Stage and will track your child's development and milestones. I am happy to send you photos of your child during our day so you can see what he/she is doing etc. You will need to sign a consent form before hand for me to do this. I am always available to speak to during my working hours if younhave any worries or concerns, if you contact me over the weekend I will respond on Monday when I start work again, unless it is an emergency.
All children are under my care on a contract basis which I will draw up. This can be full time or term time depending on parent needs. If you require term time only half payment is due to hold the space during the holidays.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss your requirements or for a Welcome Pack.
Please DO NOT contact me for school pickups thank you

My Experience
I have chosen to care for 0 - 3 age group as I love the little ones & delight in watching them develop & grow. . Most of my children have come to me as babies and have developed into happy, social and independent little people under my care and guidance. My youngest child has been 6 weeks old. I have also had a 10 week old baby and a 3 month old who left me when she was 15 years old. I have had twins and 1 set of triplets, amongst many other babies.
I do not take children for 1 day a week as from years of experience it is very hard for the child to settle or build any relationship with me as it is a long time before they will return. Please respect my decision, your childs best interrests are my priority.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 in childcare, am first aid trained and have an enhanced DBS. I have knowledge of how to resuscitate babies and young children and a level 2 in food hygiene.
I update my First Aid every 3 years and attend Safeguarding Children refresher courses every year.
My Availability
My working hours are 8am - 6pm Monday - Thursday. I DO NOT work Fridays at all.
These days reflect the children currently in my care.
I currently have 1 vacancy available for the full 4 days or for part time hours. I am looking for a baby or young toddler as I find it very rewarding to watch the child develop and grow in my care when they are so young and hopefully will stay for a long period of time.

My daughter joined Jenny just after her 1st birthday. Its safe to say that on day 3 of drop off she was happy enough to be passed straight over to Jenny, all smiles and giggles waving bye bye to me, which as you know as a mum is really important.
Throughout my daughters time with Jenny I always received photos and updates of her day, always out and about doing all different activities- the life of a child with a childminder is fantastic, being able to get out in the local area, taking in nature, exploring and developing all senses.
Jenny really does take her time to get to know your child inside out and the bond they establish its something very special, I can honestly say that when my daughter was with Jenny I was able to not worry in the slightest and that is exactly what you want - to know your child is safe and having fun.
Jenny creates and provides such a safe, comfortable and clean environment for the children in her care. She is extremely understanding, patient and kind natured with your child and really develops a strong understanding and bond with them.
Jenny always goes above and beyond for the children in her care - my daughter would always be happy on both drop off and pick up, actually at times having a bit of a grizzle because she didn't want to stop playing and go!
Which speaks volumes for the stimulating environment Jenny provides.
I cant highly recommend Jenny enough. If you are looking for that safe home to home environment for your child, with someone who takes a genuine interest in your child's character and development and whom is passionate and proud of the service they offer then Jenny is your lady :-)

Jenny has cared for our daughter something over a year and I can't even write enough how happy we are to have found a childminder like she is.
She is a very caring, friendly and loving person. I was a bit scared at the beginning as my daughter is my first child and I never left her with anyone else for a whole day before going back to work but as soon as I met Jenny I had a really good feeling about her and all she was saying is happening during the day she spends with the children. They do activities, playgroups, stories etc every day which my daughter loves and it's so great for her development. Jenny also meets up with other childminders and the children they look after, so the children can all play together. I have every trust in Jenny she will always do the best for my daughter, she is a very responsible person and always updates you with pictures during the day. My daughter is always so happy when we mention Jenny to her she loves going to Jenny's house and we are 100% sure she will be entertained and cuddled if needed.
Honestly, we could not have wished for a better childminder we feel so lucky to have Jenny. I have no hesitation to recommend Jenny to anyone. Thank you so much Jenny

My son has been with Jenny since 9 months old to nearly 3 years old. This is an updated review to give credit to a fantastic childminder.
As a mother handing over the care of my son to return to work, I was naturally nervous. However, I can honestly say that Jenny made me feel so comfortable with leaving him that I never considered being anxious again.
Now a rather energetic talkative nearly 3 year old, I know Jenny has played a huge part in his development.
We have been able to work together in the areas of discipline involving time out if required, communication and development. Jenny always checks with me as to any wishes I have in these areas so we provide a consistent approach and is always great for advice.
Jenny kindly sends me pictures and videos of him involved in activities often.
We joke when I collect him that he is often tired, but this is actually a credit to the activities he does with Jenny. I suspect playing at home is very rare and instead they attend playgroups, go for walks, feed the ducks and I know as he mentions his friends, they spend time with other children which is great for his socialisation.
He has never really been upset at being left with Jenny, if he has ever seemed slightly off mood at drop off, Jenny soon texts me to reassure me he is fine and off enjoying himself.
Jenny has been extremely flexible with our requirements and has often added as hoc days for us at rather short notice.
What I came to realise very quickly is that Jenny really cares about the children in her care. They are part of her wider family and she treats them as such.
We are having to leave Jenny due to a house move out of the area which is very sad for us, showing the attachment we all formed to a great childminder.

Our daughter has been looked after by Jenny for the past eight months, since she was 11 months old. Jenny inspired confidence from our first visit, when we spent time in her house watching her interact with the other children then in her care. There was a happy, calm atmosphere and the children I observed were clearly very attached to Jenny. Jenny's house is clean and safe with plenty of interesting toys (and a rabbit in the back garden). Part of our reason for choosing a childminder was that our daughter would only be attending part time, so we were worried she might get a bit lost in a nursery setting.
Most importantly for us, our daughter quickly settled in with Jenny and has been very happy there. On a handful of occasions early on, we have had some tears on dropping her off, and Jenny was very quick to send us a picture of our daughter once she had settled a couple of minutes later. Now, she is enthusiastic when it's time to get in the car to go to Jenny's house and puts her arms out for a cuddle with Jenny when she sees her. Jenny is very kind and has a natural warmth that I think made our daughter feel at home very quickly. I also know she gets plenty of cuddles when she wants them!
The children take part in many activities - they attend local playgroups and go on trips out. Jenny also regularly meets up with another childminder, so the children can all get to know each other and play together. Our daughter has also picked up a number of words (such as animal noises) that we didn't teach her, so we know she is also learning. One thing I was a bit concerned about initially was how naps would fit in around other children and all the activities they take part in. That hasn't been a problem in practice, as our daughter has been able to nap in the buggy during playgroups when needed, and now she only has one nap a day she can nap at Jenny's house. We enjoy reading the detailed accounts of what the children have been up to during the day, and frequent pictures of the various activities!
We have found Jenny to be reliable and accommodating when needed. I commute from London and on occasion have been later than planned to collect, and Jenny has been understanding about that. She has also been able to cover the odd additional day we have needed from time to time.
In summary, we feel very fortunate that Jenny looks after our daughter.

Jenny has cared for our 8 month old daughter, Tallulah, since she was 12 weeks old.
It was really tough having to go back to work so early after Tallulah was born, but Jenny made it so much easier for me! I feel so grateful to have found a Childminder who is so lovely, so friendly, so caring & so kind for Tallulah.
Jenny is meticulous in everything that she does with the children. I trust her 110% and I know with Jenny, Tallulah is safe and well cared for.
Tallulah loves being with her and actually gets very excited when we arrive at Jenny's home.
I really couldn't have asked for anyone better to care for Tallulah, I feel so very lucky to have found Jenny, I would highly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for Childcare, thank you so much Jenny ?
