About Me
I live in Wimbledon Park. I have over 20 years childcare experience and believe in the child's individuality and opportunity to develop at its own pace through play.
Play is an important part of child development and by creating a stimulative environment and routine children can express themselves and learn practical skills that promote independence and self esteem. Those allow the child to become a confident learner and develop fine and gross motor skills that contribute to further learning, writing and problem solving abilities.
I like outdoor activities and encourage children to spend time outdoors as part of the learning process.
I enjoy reading and support and encourage children to develop appreciation for the written word. I can support reading, writing and numeracy skills at nursery and KS1 level.
I am trained in Montessori approach and pedagogy but not officially qualified. I've worked in a Montessori accredited setting for 5 years and I apply the philosophy in my approach to childcare.
My Experience
I have worked as a nanny for more than 15 years held full and part time positions as a nanny ( mostly sole charge). My last job was working with 2 trilingual children for 10 years and before that as a co -childminder in a home- based Montessori childcare for almost 5 years.
Throughout the years I've gained experience to look after newborn babies, toddlers and children up to 12 years of age. Most of my work includes support in early education, developing study routines, encourage independent learning and creativity. I have experience in a multilingual household and offer language support.

My Availability
I am available Monday - Friday, full or part time (depending on hours). I am quite flexible about the hours but try to avoid 10 hour days.
I would ideally prefer to work up to 36 hours per week.
I am available to start work in September with a few introductory sessions in lat August.
