About Me
I am married with 5 children (34,32,30,19 & 17) The older 3 children have their own houses so we only have the younger 2 'children' at home now.
I have been a childminder for 30+ years. I adore children and love to spend time playing, reading, cooking and having fun with them. We enjoy trips to the park, local soft play centres, National Trust parks, Wisley RHS and on occasions to the zoo and local theme parks.
We believe praise and encouragement will bring out the best in any child. With lots of love & cuddles we have a lot of fun whilst learning through role playing, team work and outings.
I work along side my husband and my daughter works part time. We aim to provide a home from home environment for our children. We aim to ensure all children are made to feel part of our family.
We are a term time only setting and we don't charge any retainer or fees during the school holidays.
We have a purpose built playroom with age appropriate toys. We have a large garden with outdoor toys, including a slide, bikes and cars. We do crafts and enjoy singing & dancing.
We have a non smoking home.
I have a full (clean) driving license
We have annual passes to a number of local attractions including Chessington World of Adventures, National Trust, Brooklands museum and Wisley Gardens. We enjoy day trips out in our 9 seater vehicle fully equipped with age appropriate car seats.
As a childminder it is my duty to keep all children safe whilst following the Early Years Foundation Stage EYFS, ensuring all children are developing to the best of their ability.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 30 years. I have looked after babies, toddlers and school age children. I can offer references.
I am ofsted registered with up to date first aid training, insurance and a clean driving licence
My Qualifications
I have completed all first aid training.
CHip training (childminding introduction programme) and safeguarding children all completed. (Working together to safeguard children)
I am fully trained to to care for a child with type 1 diabetes and administer insulin.
