We offer a high quality service ensuring we care for your child’s personal and individual needs. Using The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as guidance we carefully plan the care and learning of your child. We perform regular observations , planning, progress reports, and keep you up to date on how your child develops.
Children are cared for in a clean, light and spacious home from home environment equipped with a wide range of toys and a lovely outdoor play area where they can take part in fun and creative activities. Our setting has been adapted to a nursery environment and children have access to a garden which is equipped with toys and play equipment.
We ensure that each child is treated equally and will create personal activities based around your child’s interests.
We value manners and respect towards each other highly in our setting and show children in our care the importance of this.
We provide a caring environment where standards are high, independence can be developed and where there is a wealth of learning opportunities both structured and flexible, to help children to achieve their goals, promote their self-esteem and reach their full potential.
We promote healthy eating by offering a diverse menu offering children healthy and nutritious meals that we are sure they will enjoy. We accommodate any children who have allergies or are vegetarian. We like to build good relationships with parents; we believe working effectively with parents has a positive impact on the child’s learning and development.
We welcome parents support in our children’s learning and parents are welcome to come and read to the children, talk about their jobs or participate when going out on trips.
We make use of our local library, play groups and have several parks nearby. We also plan special trips throughout the year to beaches, zoos and museums. We continually think of new and fun ways to help inspire and encourage children's imaginations and overall development. The environment is fantastic! My child always returned home in a great mood! I appreciate how well they looked after my child! Thank you so much for the wonderful care!❤️
Patricia and Daniel looked after our son for 5 days a week from when he was 18 months old to almost 3 years old. The only reason he stopped going was because we moved out of the area. Our son flourished with Patricia and Daniel, and it made the return to work so much easier for me knowing he was happy and loving life. Patricia and Daniel have a wonderful home-from-home setting, with freshly cooked healthy meals, an amazing choice of toys, a lovely garden and a varied and stimulating schedule. Our son's naps were great, they helped with potty training, and they were so kind and accommodating to any issue or tricky phase my son went through. The flexibility and level of contact we had was so good, and such a wonderful change from strict nursery rules! Patricia and Daniel totally understand as parents, as well as childminders, how it feels to leave your child in daycare and are incredibly thoughtful and considerate to you as the client. My son made some great friends while he was there and his development improved in all areas. I was very upset to change his daycare provider and wish Patricia and Daniel nothing but success and happiness in the future. Cannot thank you both enough!

Thank you so much Katy, we really appreciate this.
I hope you guys have settled in your new home and please give Joey a big hug from us. Archie still talks about Joey xx
I was very unwell, and I had urgent surgery appointment, so I didn't have anyone to look after my daughter. Patricia was fantastic with her husband although I was asking in short notice, she accepted my daughter, they had clean house with nice dog Bella - my daughter always scared of dog, but Bella was just too adorable and friendly, my daughter now asking me to adopt a dog!
I was unsure when my surgery would finish but they didn't create any trouble with that, my daughter said she had wonderful time with them with their children too, also she had BTS doll as gift after a game, she is decorated in her room and she really happy with those dolls because she is BTS fan.
My daughter said also food was nice, they were friendly and nice that she would go again one day if it's happened to find a babysitter.
I can't thank you enough to take care of my daughter when it's difficult time!
Our daughter attended Blue Bear as a baby and toddler. Patricia and Daniel provide absolutely outstanding childcare in their home. The setting is really lovely - it is very clean, tidy and modern, with a calm environment, and plenty of new, engaging and fun toys. Patricia has so many ideas to keep the children entertained, happy and learning. Everyday the children do a new activity - from messy play in the garden, through to creative arts & crafts, to setting up her own soft play in her house. Patricia also sometimes takes the children out on trips, to the farm or to feed the ducks, or to the local playground. Our daughter had some separation anxiety and Patricia went out of her way to help her settle. We had a great relationship with Patricia and Daniel and felt fully informed as to our daughter’s day and what she got up to. She always came home very happy, talking about the wonderful things she’d done that day, the home cooked food, and friends she’d played with. We are so sad to leave Blue Bear due to moving house to a new area.
Our little one attended and thrived here for almost 2 years. It's a lovely setting, the perfect combination of a home childminder feel but with a large indoor/outdoor space of a nursery and diverse activities/learning. They were so accomodating to individual children's needs, and supporting their unique learning journey. Highly recommend!
