About Me
I have been a childminder since 2009 and I have been rated as 'Good' by Ofsted in my latest inspection, March 2018.
I'm married and I have 2 girls who are 19 and 13 yrs old.
I am based in Broadfield.
I have completed various courses including paediatric first aid and I have full insurance.
If you choose me as your childminder I will work closely with you to insure your child's development goes from strength to strength. I am a strong believer in children learning through play and encouraging independence.
I have a dedicated playroom for childminding which seems to be a firm favourite with the children!
A typical day can be a register so the children recognise their names, free play, learning the days of week, a morning walk where we explore the surrounding areas where the children learn about nature and what’s going on around them.
After lunch it's lots of different activities including singing, dancing, stories and nursery rhymes. The children and I work hard to ensure they recognise their colours, numbers and shapes before they start the next step of their education.
There’s a large selection of toys from Lego to cars & wooden toys to natural resources to encourage the children to use their imagination so they will never get bored!

My daughter has been looked after by Heather since she was 18 months old. After my last childminder let us down at short notice and Heather saved the day. We met her on a Sunday morning and my daughter was settled with her by the end of that week.
Her home is lovely and welcoming and the children love the dedicated play room. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being in Heather's care, she is almost 3 and can spell her name already. Heather is in the process of teaching her phonics, letter and number recognition, shapes and colours. She comes home every day singing a new nursery rhyme or song. She has a diary detailing her day including what she has been up to and eaten durig the day. My little girls eating habits have also improved a great deal since being with Heather, she was so fussy before!
My daugher has become a happy, potty trained (by 2 and half thanks to Heather's support), confident and bright little girl. I am so pleased we found her.
